As you may, or may not know, I've been stuck in bed since November because of a chronic sore on my right issum (sp) area. I called Roho and asked if they have any cushion that dose not have any "cells" in the issum area. They told me that they make "specialty cushions". She said " … you would contact your vendor and work through them to properly order the specialty cushion. The cost would be under $500." Has anybody ever dose this through Roho?Bobbie
Re: [QUAD-L] Roho seat cushion
Sounds great Bobbie, That sounds like a good deal. I use a Quattro high-profile .Love it. I have been on since 1978 I have duct tape some of the cells down when I had a sore. I know they made specialty cushions from RohOknow they have battery operated cushions. Re: [QUAD-L] Roho seat cushion
Bobbie, I am on a Roho Contour Select. It is a cushion with air cells but the area of the cushion where your Ishialls would be is cut out so your boney protuberances are suspended in the cutout. I purchased the cushion from Spinlife.com. They help with the paperwork for insurance. Re: [QUAD-L] Standing wheelchair' anyone have one ? If so pros and cons?
I personally hope that in everyone's life, they have the opportunity to try out a standing wheelchair. Some of the benefits can be overwhelming. However, I usually advise that a Standing Evaluation, with an Occupational Therapist to determine if and how long one can stand, vertical. Some with low blood pressure may pass out with a quick stand. Some can not operate a manual stander because of strength issues. A motorized stander might work better then a manual unit. By all means, if you meet the perimeters... Go For It. Best Wishes In a message dated 1/23/2013 9:41:49 P.M.
