In the beginning the hardest part was figuring out where to buy extention tubes to attach to the catheter so I could urinate into a toilet without the need of a bottle. Then me and the OT found a suitable bungee cord to hold pants back. I found out bungee cords with plastic grab hooks are a must to avoid scratching the boys. Then through trial and error i figured out surgilube flip top lubricant has the perfect size hole to shove the cathe tube in a lubricate it, three quick passes in and out. Find a small bag and put your tubes, extention tube, bungee cord and lube and your good to go anywhere. I put a mesh carrier underneath my chair and the cathe bag is always there. Once a week I restock te tubes.. ron From: wheelch...@aol.com wheelch...@aol.com To: jbauer.kzconsult...@gmail.com; quad-list@eskimo.com Sent: Thursday, September 12, 2013 2:10 PM Subject: Re: [QUAD-L] Fwd: Self-Cath'ing Personal Hygiene Aids -- New Website Thanks Julie, but as a nurse you know already that most Quads do not self-cath. [QUAD-L] I'm 60 years old today
Hi quad list, Celebrating my 60 year old birthday today. My father and stepmom brought me dinner last night and my mom is bringing dinner tonight. Just another day and another larger number. How many of us are 60 and older? What is discrimination to know what your comments just because you're 65 Joan. Why would the agent making a difference to a survey? Hope everyone is having a good day. Dana, C-4-5 complete, passenger in a motor vehicle accident in the 74, 39 years post, 60 years old, Prairie village Kansas. How many other quad list members are it, Kansas or close by. Just wondering. Dana

Sounds like there is a bunch of us floating around that 60 mark. Maybe we should form our own group -- the codger quads!
