RE: [QUAD-L] A dream/nightmare I had
I havent remembered any dreams since before my accident.. My sleep sucks as well on a normal night I'm lucky to sleep more than four hours and on a bad one I'm lucky to sleep at all.-Danny Original Message Subject: Re: [QUAD-L] A dream/nightmare I had From: Dana Wray daa...@aol.com Date: Thu, March 20, 2014 10:02 pm To: Toby Ausbun toby.aus...@yahoo.com Cc: greg g...@eskimo.com, "quad-list@eskimo.com" quad-list@eskimo.com All,I rarely dreams.DanaSent from my iPhoneOn Mar 20, 2014, at 9:28 PM, Toby Ausbun toby.aus...@yahoo.com wrote:Is their anyone on the list that don't have dreams anymore ? And when my pain levels are getting high I often dream that I am in a lot of pain, like I get my leg shut in a car door, or I am getting crushed by a vice. The bathroom dream I am sure is because of all our worries about doing our bowel program. Greg I know what you mean Bobbie, I have had weird strange dreams caused by ba pain at night also. Dan H.Hi All,I wanted to tell you about a dream/nightmare I the other night. For some reason I was being punished for something I did and my form of punishment was to be executed in an electric chair - LOL. I was all strapped into the chair and the lever was pulled to start the process of building up the electricity. My executioner asked if I had any last words and I said "No more pain, I'll have no more pain. No more pain, no more pain, I'll have no more pain." I just kept repeating it over and over and when I woke up in the middle of the night and started to cry because the reason I woke up was because my pain was so bad and I wished my dream was real. I notice that they have voice control ECU's. I have the Imperium 200H ECU base unit plus large remote. It is rocker switch/push button control. List price of base unit from abledata.com is $3580 I'd be interested in selling if anybody is looking for an ECU. It can control phone,tv,stero, lights, bed, appliances Derrick W On 3/21/2014 12:37 PM, KK Batte wrote: It's about ECU http://www.ablenetinc.com/Assistive-Technology/Environmental-Control-Units-ECU

At the moment I have separate remotes for lights opening the front door. Need one that will unlock the dead bolt tho. Sleeping with the door unlocked at the moment. Scary. [QUAD-L] Fwd: exercise question
Thanks guys. If any of you have any excess energy, send some my way. I feel like I should be hanging upside in a tree like a sloth. :) -- Forwarded message -- From: cviewe...@aol.com Date: Monday, March 17, 2014 Subject: exercise question To: lwillis82...@gmail.com, quad-list@eskimo.com Hi Larry, My OT has me doing some exercises during the day for my shoulder...swing my arm pendulum style ( swinging slowly back and forth ) about 3 sets of 5 several times a day. also and this seems to help the most is while in bed raise your arm up past your ear without bending the elbow. This is easier while laying down because gravity helps. I try to do these every day but mostly it is several times a week except for the ones while lying down. [QUAD-L] Hive got a question
Hey buds. Hope everyone had a good day. Mine got much better thanks to Mercer college! Anyway, I've been taking Percocet for pain for well over ten years with no problems. Suddenly, a few weeks ago, I started breaking out with very nasty hives every time I take one. It is really ugly with red rash and what looks like big blisters over my arms, neck, shoulders, and thigh. It itches terribly. I take a couple of Benadryl and within an hour it is pretty much gone. Anyone else had this experience? This is the first time I have ever had hives and I thought I was possessed (Too many movies!). Concerning dreams -- I seem to remember only the ones caused by restlessness or pain. A few weeks ago I was having terrible stomach/bladder pain with cold sweats etc. at night. I had vivid dreams for four nights in a row. They were all populated by friends and family who have passed on. My dad who died in 2003 was in all of them. There was nothing particularly scary about them, but I woke up with an eerie, uncomfortable feeling and my heart racing. I haven't had any more since I started taking Benadryl at night. Knocks me out. What to make of all of this? Larry
Re: [QUAD-L] Don't know if I shared this before
Hi wheelchair and quad list members: on Monday. My caregiver noticed that my foot was totally lose. It usually is fixed at a 90° angle. I had foot drop surgery in May of 2012. My ankle was operated on and a fixator was used. It was not checked for eight days and I developed gangrene because it was on too tight. I was in the hospital one month for IVs. Then I had to have a wound vacuum for two months before plastic surgery. I went to KU ER and they thought it was a ruptured tendon and a sent me to a plastic surgeon. He read the x-rays and said my fusion had come apart and he referred me to of orthopedic surgeon. Now I'm not sure what to do. I don't feel comfortable going back to the same Dr. I called my rehab Dr. and left a message and called the original orthopedic Dr. that did my first foot drop surgery in 1980. Do you have any suggestions of what I should do. Has anyone else ever encountered this problem. Or do you know of anyone. I would appreciate any thoughts or recommendations. Dana C4-5 complete quadriplegic, it will be 40 years. In July 26, 2014. I have osteoporosis. In a message dated 3/21/2014 1:03:44 P.M. Have you started any new meds? Perhaps a drug interaction?
