Re: [QUAD-L] update /pain
The little image centers are independently owned and do what they want. One more thing is most image centers give you an open Mri which is no good for usage b4 a surgery, the closed mri the hospital has gives a more detailed view. The hospital is going to be more accomadating , they have seen it all. Some people get scared when they here that a quad is coming. Since my arms work and just my hands and forearms are affected I just tell people I'm paralyzed or a para. Im tired of the .your not a quad thing..or the fear factor at the hospital. Yes my legs are as dead as a doornail to, but my spasms are almost non existent anymore. Anyone know why that could be? When I called I asked if they had a lift or if I needed to bring my own which they replied sorry we will not allow you to do that on our property. So now I'm going to attempt to bring a sliding board and hopefully they wont have an issue wiith it. Has anyone else experienced extreme pain like this in their back and found an answer to the problem? I sleep in a fully adjustsble hospital bed with a rotating low air loss mattress and I do full range of motion twice per day. [QUAD-L] interesting camera chest holder, could help somebody
Thought this was cool for the quad that loves to play with cameras and camcorders. I agree that publicity is needed about the hospital. I would call the director and then the newspaper. That is so unfair and against all policies that should be in place. Dana. I'm so sorry about your pain. I hope you can find a solution and a great Dr. To examine you carefully and do all the testing that is needed as soon as possible. Re: [QUAD-L] Peristeen
Hi Bill, Thanks for the kudos. I've been using the Peristeen system since November 2013. It has changed my life! No more accidents, plus I feel much better. I had an KUB (checking for stones in kidney, ureters, bladder) X-ray and my Dr. compared it to my previous ones--in every previous X-ray there was a notation much of area is occluded by stool. In this X-ray the entire 2nd half of my large investing (bowel) was empty. Before Peristeen I was literally full of s#%t. Bob V On Jul 26, 2014, at 12:10 PM, Bill Lang wrote: Thank you Bob. Another reason to treasure every day that we have. We never know what is going to happen, and we should damn well get the most out of every day. Smile everyday as Bobbie says, and make somebody laugh. It's contagious. Re: [QUAD-L] A new Quad
Thank god we don't know the future. What that man has in store for him I wouldn't wish on any human being. I have become good at living one day at a time. I don't know how Ive made it 16 yrs, but I wouldn't want to start over, lol. Whats funny is a lot of people thought I wouldn't last 5 yrs and couldn't stay home all day while my old man was at work. The human spirit is what makes us special among any other living being. I love this list and the people on it, every human life is worth an equal amount no matter what the condition.
