The actual spec calls for 3/32 aircraft quality, stainless braided  steel.  
Some use vinyl coated while others do not, depending on the year.  This 
product is not sold at big box stores or hardware stores. It must be cut to  
the exact length and you may need a "yoke" and "cable stops" at the motorized  
take up and release spool.  The cable must go thru the tensioner, which is  
spring loaded.  This provides contact tension on the cable and spool so  
that it doesn't jump.  I guess that is why most dealers will not sell them  
"the kit" to consumers. Also you will need a special crimp tool for the yoke 
and  end stops.

Drinking more water helps a lot. It coats the intestines so the stool  can 
move easier. Yes, I know it sounds like something for a UTI but it really

Once I got Constipated or had blockage and my doctor ordered some  liquid ( 
I can't remember the name ) but me and wife were laughing because it  
looked  just like the plastic containers that car oil comes in---you know  the 
plastic type with the little neck and pour spout most auto stores sell???  
anyway if anyone or your doc or pharmacist knows what it isit was good

No results this morning, So I had an enema (three  bags) with minimal

lot of stool but no blockage. is it possible that my  lower bowel doesn’t 
work anymore? Has anyone lost their ability to pass  stool?




it’s getting to the point where I am no fun  anymore. (A little CSN  lyric).

Hi Bill,


Have you tried Activia (or other probiotic) yogurt,  probiotic pills, bran, 
prune juice, triskets or any of the fiber  bars ? If you haven't you may 
want to try a combination of any of  these.

Having trouble with SEVERE  constipation. Blocked up real bad this time, 
enemas don't seem to work.  Getting to the point where AD is an issue. Really 
want a "top down"  solution. Took Citrate of Magnesia did not help.

They use GoLytely to clean you out for a colonoscopy.  It's like a "bomb in a 
bottle" when it starts working.  I'd call your PCP and ask about using it.  You 
don't have to fully empty ... just get things moving.

I took Paxil for awhile after my Ex "came out' and my parents died.  I slept a 
lot too.  I also gained 30 pounds which I can't get off.  You take it at night,

i have the same problem a 44 post c6,7 quad i take amitriptlin or elvile 
generic name. i going throughmajor depression and stress and i honestly do not

  My doctors put me on Paxil for depression early in my injury, All it did was 
mess me up and make me cry like a baby..My sister in law was put on it and 
did the same negative things to her...They switched us both to Prozac and 
we were both fine...In fact after winter ended and spring hit I quit prozac 
cold turkey with no problems, It was my first year as a Quad and I got pretty 
depressed at that time. If you try Prozac remember it will take about 2 weeks

SCI is complex.  I have a friend that was a complete C3, then 4 weeks later he 
got movement in one toe.  8 months later he was able to
walk slowly for short distances with a walker.  Problem is, there is no way to 
know who will get what kind of function.  It is a tough balance
between time, determination and the big kicker $$money.

Here is an article I wrote about a paraplegic that had a complete injury and 
after 6 years of therapy is able to walk on her own. BUT others
may spend six years with the same therapy and get minimal return or nothing.

When I was born I was completely blind after six surgeries in my eyes I was
able to see a little bit it is better than nothing I was 11 years old when I
started seeing the doctors consider me legally blind seven years after that
my accident happened it all happen in 1981 in high school my senior year I
was in ROTC drill team it was a Saturday in the morning I told my mother is
she could take me to practice she told me why you don't go with me and your
little brother to the store ID to get a couple of things I said I prefer to
go to practice so she took me to the school grounds for I could practice
before I got off car she told me again are you sure you don't want to go I
said I prefer to stay to practice 10 minutes after that I started horsing
around with another kit and we end up playing wrestling at that time I used
to wait 134 pounds the other kid waited 350 pounds like I said we started
horsing around for the meantime the other kids got there and also the
instructor he grabbed me from my back she put his arms around me I slip I
was not able to put my hands in front of me so my head was first to the
floor and all his weight of the other kid and up the top of me when I hit
the floor my neck pop I tried to get up but I was not able I started feeling
weird he told me get up I told him I can't she thought that I was joking he
saw that I was sweating really bad and my face was changing colors he call
the other kids they started coming towards me everybody was standing around
me I was laying in the floor one of those kids was my best friend he was the
only one that had a car's he told me you're not joking I said no I cannot
get up so he got in the car and went to a small store that is close by the

I had to go to the ER for that before. No fun.
I use Miralax it takes a couple days, but usually works.
The non brand kind did not work as well.
