RE: [QUAD-L] Insurance question

I would suggest that you take the time to call Social security and talk to any
disability specialist. Or you have a local office talk to them, just be
prepared to take a long time. Good luck

Subject: [QUAD-L] Insurance question

I have insurance through the Ky teachers retirement system. It leaves much to
be desired. It converts to Medicare in two years when I turn 65. My question is
can I be declared disabled and get Medicare now? I inquired about home health
making a daily visit to dress my wounds. The cost was $750 up front and a 30%
co-pay. I can't do thatat all. What do youse guys think? Btw, wife Melissa
has heart cath in the morning and is scheduled for defibrillator on Monday if
cath goes well. Prayers. Thanks.

Retired and proud of it

That’s great news for people who are disabled before they were 26, but does not
help the rest of us. Joan
