Re: [QUAD-L] Fertility question

2014-01-06 Thread Todd Daugherty
I just want to chime in and say pregnancy is not a 50/50 chance. The estimate
for chances of getting pregnant are 20 percent to 30 percent per menstrual
cycle. (Harvard Med School). Even then, the chances will vary depending on
a number of factors (including age, current and past medical problems,
certain medication use, timing of intercourse, and the fertility of one's
partner) but many healthy, fertile couples are not pregnant even after six
months. It is common that couples only need to wait a bit longer and learn
more about the best time to have intercourse (based on the woman's
menstrual cycle, or ovulation pattern).

If vibro stimulation did not work I would think it is not being
administered properly or use a different model device that has proven to
work for others. We were able to do it the normal way so my story won't be
of help.

The internet is full of stories of male quads and female quads getting
pregnant, the normal way. More often, pregnancy occurred even after doctors
said it could not occur. Pregnancy, as a whole, on this planet is 50-50
chance. When one considers that most pregnancies are an accident to begin.
I'm
sure you have been warned that anything used to assist you in your
attempts, such as chemicals and medicines can be dangerous to your body.
Extraction
can work, but it doesn't happen all of the time. Your doctors and
specialist know more information about your body and case, then anyone here,
including me.
But I do wish you and yours much success in your endeavor.
Best Wishes

We have had no luck using a vibrator to get him to ejaculate.

[QUAD-L] Fertility question

2014-01-04 Thread gentrier
Anyone here had success getting pregnant when the male has a SCI injury? Our
specialist wants to extract sperm from him from the sac and put me on IVF...I
don't want or need IVF but that's the only way they are telling us they will do
it even though my fertility is fine:/ I don't want to spend the extra money or
put unnecessary chemicals in my body. I'm not looking for stories of ppl
getting pregnant the regular way...looking for alternatives to IVF.

Some have suggested IUI.

We have had no luck using a vibrator to get him to ejaculate.
