Most states have a state equipment bank of communication devices that are

You have to have a headset or ear piece not plugged into power although I have a cigarette lighter on my chair that I plug it into but I checked by unplugging it.
It works either way but get one put on your chair anyways it's very handy.

QuadPirate, does yours need to be plugged in ?

No Dana no buttons involved.
Thevoice software is in thephone not the service provider so it doesn't matter who you use.
This phone came out last year and I had to order it because they didn't have it in stock.
I didn't even know it had voice software until I started messing around with all the programs.

This is how it works.

Say call or what ever wordyou programmed to start.
You get a beep and say it again.
Then it ask for a name.
Say a name in your phone book.
Then it calls the number.
It's pretty simple.
No buttons.

You have to programthe contacts into your voice phone book manually and you can add voice mail as a contact.

You need some one to help program your contactsif youcan't push buttons but after that you're set.

Hey people,
Just to let you know, I just bought a Kyocera 7135 that's "Totally Hands Free" as long as you have an ear piece or headset hooked up.
After you set your command words and program your names to phone numbers it's easy to use and totally hands free.

You can get them on ebay for $50 all day long.

I've tested it and the voicesoftware comes already installed and easy to program.

No you just say the command and it ask for a name then you say the name and it calls.
It's "Totally hands free" no buttons what so ever, all by commands so if you can talk you can use it and if you can't you don't need a phone lol.

Before paying for a hands-free phone, contact your phone company or your
county services Intel and exactly what you need. The Ameriphone that I
have, which is not hooked up yet, was free.

Liz you can buy phones on Ebay very cheap that work great.
I use a PDA/Phone and it works awesome, there are many brands of these to choose from just be sure to purchase a reputable name and almost any phonewill work with all carriers.
I have a Pocket PC from Verizon but use Altell as my carrier.

Here's a Smart phone that's a great buy because it's refurbished for $99.99 an awesome buy and I use mine withthe eraser end of a pencil inserted into a velcro strap on my hand.
This phone will connecttothe internet andyou can read your e-mail on it or surf.
