Re: [QUAD-L] If you won 500,000 how would it change your life as a quad?

I'd pay off the house, other debts, and if it were possible for hubby to
"buy" the extra years he needs to retire at full benefits, we might do
that. I know he'd like a larger house so we'd just have to juggle the
options.

I have a 20 yr old daughter so if I didn’t live long she would reap the
benefits of what was left J

I would pay my house off and buy a new van/pickup. I would donate a portion and
the rest would be put into savings for needs later down the road.

I often imagine what I could do if I had more finances and let my mind wander.
What would you guys do?

There is absolutely so much technology out there that I would have a house
big enough to operate everything by voice using one of the competing voice
activated technologies as well as be able to pay higher wages to get good
quality caregivers who want to/can stay and do what I wanted to do in the
first place with my Baccalaureate degree in business. Which is to become an
entrepreneur in something. And I would be doing exactly that if
Posttraumatic Syringomyelia had not attacked me just 10 years post injury
causing my whole life to change. Then other secondary SCI conditions
brought me down one after another. I was actually on top of the world until
I lost my husband but that is another story.
