2014 was a bad year. I started with an accident that caused a skull fracture, broken fingers,, broken legs, knees, and a hip. In May I went in with breathing and skin problems related to the arthritis from the accident. In August it was septiceamia. I definitely got a flu shot and pneumovax update. Another year like last could kill me . Best wishes for a great year to all! John s. The nurses had to wear a gown, gloves and mask everytime they came into room. I'm back home and using nebuilizer to clear up lungs. Derrick W in PA

I had the flu and double pneumonia both within a five-year span about 15-20 years ago. I wound up in icu and just about died both times. I believe the pnu was worse because I couldn't cough; they tilted my head downwards and pounded on my chest. I have made it a point to stay vaccinated for both since then. They ain't fun, believe me.
