[QUAD-L] Question for the Ladies on the list

2012-09-10 Thread jume9999
Hey Gals and girls,

Any of you go through times where you have one vaginal infection after the
other ( both types) Endlesss creams and even oral pills only helping for a
week. I am interested if any of you ladies have used anything like Rephresh or
natural therapies?

Hopefully Diannal. I just took it another mile in a different direction. I
hope I didn't confuse. I also hope you agree that often two bodies are not
the same and so form of protection should be used to prevent passing an
infection or causing abrasion. Great Female Topic!
Best Wishes

Thanks Dianna. I've had a few discussions with OB/GYN and Fertility

Somehow, it still happens. I don't understand, but accept that which was
offered.

I meant sex hasn't caused me to have a uti. Infections are surley possible
w/the foley. Are we on the same page!??! :-) At any rate, I hope the
poster finds her answer.

For a limited few,(and I mean few) it can be done. But consider all the
bacteria in that area plus and friction causing internal abrasion and further
infections. Surprising, you are not the first to ask or inquire. I've
heard of partners catching an infection from a partner or spouse who had a
budding infection and didn't realize it.
A SP, helps with having sex as it clears the way with no obstructions.

You may have answered your own question. Sounds like your insurance company
may be sitting on the idea and that is truly a shame. We were much luckier.
Our Neuro did his residency at Northwestern years before he came out to the
surburbs and when he placed his call, it was directly to Dr. Betts, the
Executive
Director at the Hospital. Talk about greasing a pathway, lol. Dr. Chen was
still a resident of the 3rd floor seeing patients daily. Today, Dr. Chen,
head up the Spinal Cord Injury Department at RIC.
Keep on the insurance company and best wishes.

LOL. I spend a lot of time at RIC on the second floor, (cafeteria).
3rd floor is OutPatient Services
6th floor is Head Injury Floor
7th floor is the Spinal Unit.
I deliver the peanuts and beverages during the flight or fights.

RIC, is the best, but there are also other great Rehab Hospitals,
Kessler
Sheppard
Craig
Reo Rancho- formerly

U of Pitts Hospital is still another.

Who are you in communication with a RIM, in Michigan?

Wheelchair,

Do you go to a good Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago? I have been trying
to get into the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan, in downtown Detroit,
for months. I had an evaluation there over a month ago, for inpatient acute
rehab. I have not heard back from them yet. Did you do therapy at the
Rehab Institute of Chicago? I am in dire need of therapy!

I'm at RIC almost weekly, passing out peanuts and beverages, lol.

RIC, has been voted for the last 15 years, the Best rehab hospital in the
United States.
RIC, is a doctor's referral hospital and you have to be referred by your
specialist. I'm sure the same applys to RIM, in Michigan.
Good Rehab Hospital are difficult to get into, but do great jobs. Maybe
that are waiting for paperwork from your insurance company or something else.
Remember the squeeky wheel gets the most attention.
Give them a call.

[QUAD-L] Question for the ladies.

2007-03-16 Thread wheelchair

A. why just the ladies, lol.
Rehab Institute of Chicago (RIC) has an inhouse group called, Health &
Resource Center for Women with Disabilities, with website and email address, if

you so want and need.

But I'm sure that you have been told that "Crips" are not suppose to enjoy
life and have sex.
But we know that it still happens and it can be done.
Remember Paul Berg's message, "The Impossible only Takes a little Longer."

The other is "Those who believe that sticks and stones will break your
bones, but names will never hurt you has never met a Quad."

I wish you much success in achieving your goal.
