[QUAD-L] reaching greeting cards

2010-03-29 Thread Bobbie299
Hi All,
I see my sister Bobbie had sent a message through you about
SendOutCards. I also think it was very prudent of you to add your insight to
the fact
that other choices are available. It shows you do watch what is being passed
around and that you care about the content and make positive comments and
suggestions.
That being said I am excited to ask you to please go to
_http://www.garysueh.com/_ (http://www.garysueh.com/) (that is Gary Susan
Humphreys) and
send a couple of cards (pre-paid with the stamp) on us. Then you will see the
competitive difference first hand.

We have a fully functional contact management system (put names in one
time, even from an excel spread sheet) with birthday and anniversary reminders.
We print a high quality card with pictures, address it, seal it, put it in a
real envelope, with a real postage stamp and take it to the PO. As you
mentioned some of the web based programs you have to print it yourself (it you
have a color printer of quality available), fold it, address it, seal it,
stamp it and get it to the postman. Hardly compares to what we do. Most of the
other companies that will print you a quality card have a minimum set you
must buy, then pay the shipping back to you and you have to get them ready for
the mail. Average cost $3.37

Now I just got off the latest Hallmark site. They will print a high quality
card with editing capabilities and mail it for you with what they call a
free stamp for $3.49. Our cost is $1.42 (card .98 + stamp .44) with the stamp
or less, depending on volume.

go to _http://www.hallmark.com/_ (http://www.hallmark.com/) , or
_http://www.shutterfly.com/_ (http://www.shutterfly.com/) or
_http://www.walgreens.com/_ (http://www.walgreens.com/) or others see for
yourself.
Then go to our site and send a couple of trial cars on us. Send one back to
someone you care about and can see the card for yourself. I am more than
willing to spend $2.84 so you can send 2 cards and see it first hand. By the
way when you put in the address don't forget to hit Create new contact
manager entry. That way you will never have to type in that address again.
Try it, you'll like it.

Hello! I looked at your site and will be revisiting it. My wife and I have also
started a home based business that has been doing fairly well just with her
efforts and now since I'm home (the company that I was working for went out of
business) we would appreciate any/all feedback as well as your business!  The
site is-
www.aztimegoezby.com
Thanking you in advance and look forward to your comments and, of course,
purchases. There are some great things for Easter!

Hi All,
I don't know about you but I love sending greeting cards in the mail (and
getting them) but it's almost impossible to look at the cards in a store. I
either get a kind person to help or ask someone who works there to help me find
a card.
What do you guys do? Do you not send cards because it's to hard to look at
and reach the cards?   Bobbie

My thoughts exactly! Very nice designs.

I don't have any specific suggestions at hand, but I am sure there are ways you
could get more business with more marketing on the web. I know I've come
across card sites that aggregate the work of a number of card artists that sign
up for the site (for commission). As I recall, some are printers that
print-on-demand.

A graphic artist friend of mine not only designs her own cards, but prints them
on her own letter-press too. She does a charming design blog to promote her
work http://laurawentzel.com/happycamper/ (look through past posts to see her
talking about her printing projects). Your designs seem to tell stories, so
that might be a theme you could flesh-out in a blog.

The world needs to see your work!

I'm like you, but I have a Hallmark store close ask for help. For Grankids I
go to Dollar General where they know me. It can be a hassle at Walmart though.

I think both Hallmark and American Greetings [and probably others] have
Websites that allow you to browse greetings cards and then print them at your
desk.  There is a fee to use these services.  You can buy special paper that is
heavier card-stock and corresponding envelopes--the results are very close to
store bought cards.  Also, there are software programs that allow you to design
and customize your own greeting cards.  And, of course, there are e-cards
available at MANY sites.

Don.

I've just learned about a great company Send Out Cards that is just great.
If you type _www.GarySueH.com_ (http://www.GarySueH.com) you will get a
link to my brother Gary. I love these cards, you can look at them online and if
you read a verse you don't like - you can write whatever you want. There is
a free trial, send a card to your self so you can see the quality. And if
you have ANY questions my brother answers the phone and will talk you through
it till you get the hang of it. At first I thought it was to expensive but
then I found out that you can put in only the amount you want to spend and
not the deals their trying to sell you. Give it a try, the first card is
free.Bobbie

Very nice Shirley

I couldn't draw a round circle before I broke my neck, so needless to say I
am not artistically talented. I'm always impressed by those who are. I am
adding to my favorite sites and will definitely order in the future. Joan
