Re: [QUAD-L] Roho cushions

2006-04-13 Thread Lori Michaelson

I have tried ROHO cushions several times over the last 26 years since my injury.  I really decided I needed a cushion on my Permobile a little over a year ago.

Once again I tried a ROHO cushion.  I know there are several different versions of them now but I have never been able to balance on them.  So when I was trying out cushions ... the vendor brought a few that he thought would work for me.  One was called a VARILITE and that is the one I chose.  It is a fantastic cushion!

Their web site is www.varilite.com

I just hate mine when transferring out of the shower.  I sink in the middle of the transfer and it's hard when you don't have the pants to help you slide.  Other than that I like it.  I liked my J2 better and I hope I eventually get back to one after I heal from the flap I finally decided to get.

LOL.  Easy to fix is a metaphor.  If you don't follow the recipe,
the repair won't last.
If you follow the instructions properly, you still have a 50-50
chance.  Some people are very good at following instruction, while others
slap everything together and prays.

If you ask me roho cushions are a joke. You cant transfer off of them because you sink in like a waterbed. They also pop easily , and you get this all for 400.00, what a deal, lol. Ive used a J2 gel for 8 years and never had a sore problem. The cushion is great because is has a solid front to transfer off of, but gel in the back for your butt. Whoever designed that was thinking from a wheelchair users perspective.
