Some of them are in the common area but 9 times out of 10 you have to do the walk of shame if you see someone waiting whom the stall was intended. On a different note: Does anyone have any tips as how to get Medicare to reinstate rehab? Is it something where you have to get so bad you have to be checked back into the hospital? My father is 69, c/3 c/4 partial, and he does incredibly well with rehab. However, since they have released him about 6 weeks ago he has lost a lot of mobility in addition to a lengthy list of problems, and I'm frightened to see where this is leading. Do any of you think he should look into a live-in facility for that kind of constant therapy? We're struggling to find his options here. Right now he feels like he's just wasting away which is so awful because he does so well with physical therapy. Also, does anyone have Mercedes Ruins'(sp?) contact information? She has helped him in the past with all kinds of wonderful information and for some reason each email or phone number I find for her, on the internet, is incorrect. Thanks for any advice you can offer! -Original Message- From: Dan [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, May 25, 2006 5:34 PM To: quad-list@eskimo.com Subject: Re: [QUAD-L] Question for the group Humm, I guess I see things different than you all on this one. I don't equate Handicapped Stalls with Handicapped Parking. HP provides equal access in that without them many disabled people - especially those who cannot walk or push themselves long distances - would not be able to use those services. This would be a real hardship for them - us. HS on the other hand is a necessity for the disabled in most cases but I see nothing wrong with sharing it with the AB population. ABs have to wait their turn when all the stalls are full, why can't we wait our turn if someone is using a HS? We have no idea why an AB would use a HS. Maybe when they entered the restroom all the other stalls were full. I guess I'm in the minority but I don't mind waiting 5 minutes for someone to vacate a HS. I'm just glad there IS one! Dan
