Re: [QUAD-L] Wheelchair snow
I have a push chair and just don'tgo out in the snow. All I end up doing is spinning. It sucks because it melts everywhere except on my van where my ramp goes down because it blocks the sun and the house blocks i from the other side. I have a parking area that is made of the leftover concrete in the truckand I can't seem to get theother side smoothed down enough with driving over it to get hard enough to get my chairthrough it. I can't go in my yard either unless we haven'thad any rain in a while. Re: [QUAD-L] Wheelchair snow?
ADVICE -- NEVER GO OUT IN SNOW ALONE!!! Some say wrapping your drive wheels with clothesline helps maintain traction. it does but the ride is bumpy. it also brings large amounts of dirt into the home. the best plan is to travel outside with an AB. Re: [QUAD-L] Wheelchair snow?
Snow treads are great on automobiles on the road. But automobiles don't travel indoors after they have been on the road. New treads are better than old and bare tires. I've seen a couple of after-market companies that make snow traks/snow tracs and tire straps. As suggested, not because of the snow, but the associated cold, you should not travel alone.
