I would suggest that you take the time to call Social security and talk to any disability specialist. Or you have a local office talk to them, just be prepared to take a long time. Larry I think you qualify for Medicare now since you are disabled. Do you receive Social Security Disability? I believe one would be primary and one would be secondary insurance, just not sure which but your local social security office should be able to help. My husband was disabled in May 2014 and started getting Social Security Disability in October 2014. He is eligible for Medicare in October 2016 – two years after he started receiving SSDI.
