Greg:

I’m so happy to see a message from you and to hear that you’re doing well. I
was worried about you. We were all worried about you!

Keep getting stronger and get in touch with me once you feel up to getting
together. It has been too long since we hung out.

Be well!
Don.

Re: [QUAD-L] It's me Greg

2019-08-30 Thread Lori Michaelson
Great news that you were close to death's door but now on a very good road
to recovery!!! We all have been wondering about you as well as Steve
Oldaker.

Take your time because I very much understand the feeling of being very
tired, out of breath and weak even now since I am trying to handle so much.
Ever since shortly before I went into the hospital for 3 weeks last year
(with 2 of the first couple weeks in ICU) as I was not able to eat for
several days because I was having such bladder pain. So my electrolytes and
sodium levels dropped to the point where I didn't know what was going on
and had to be rushed to the hospital one morning.

I'm still battling with having low-sodium which makes me feel so weak and
tired despite all the sodium they put into food these days or even if it
isn't what anyone is eating (because I love butter and that has quite a bit
of sodium in it although butter is/can be very good for you ... it is
mornings for me when I feel the way you describe because I never eat
anything after dinner time around 5 PM every day and then don't eat again
until around 9 AM. Therefore, I put Gatorade mixed in with my water that I
drink all day.

My point is that you also may have low-sodium levels and that is why you
are feeling the way you do even though all you went through making you feel
that way as well. However, for a quad to go through all of that (especially
kidney failure) and coming back is not easy to do so THIS IS FABULOUS NEWS
that you are back home and doing all you can and letting us know!
