I believe the logic boards from a 5200, 5300, 5400, 5500, 6200, 6300,
6360, 6400 or 6500 would fit. If it has no PCI riser or slot for one it
is either a 5/6200 or 5/6300.

LC 580?

2003-09-19 Thread l s
Greetings,
I have an LC580 that the HD is bad on. But that
is not my question. As I was working with it to
discover the problem, I discovered it was a Power Mac.
I opened it up to see what I could find and it has a
PowerPC 603 chip. What sort of motherboard would fit
in there? If more than one, how do I figure out
which?

Thanks, Lee

Re: 4GB HD in Quadra 605 / Performa 475

2003-09-19 Thread Mattera Fernando Mario (IBM)
concretely, you consider that is not going to work?

Or you could do what I did -- slice a slot in the side of the case and pass
through the SCSI and power leads, the drive just sits on the table. =D Ugly,
of course, but it works. I've got a pair of 15150Ns here and I had one in
(or at least hooked up to =P) my LC475; yes, they're way too tall to fit in
and would probably overheat the comp.

I've warmed (hah) to the 15150s. I actually can't sleep properly if they're
not spinning. =O
