Re: [q] Zip conundrum

2004-09-16 Thread Ben Berry
I know all about the hfs+ issue and thats not it. If i format it hfs on
the 7.5.5 machine OS X tells me it unreadable, and visa versa.

OS X supports USb floppies and recall there is a hack to get internal
ones to work but no OS X supported machine has a floppy drive except
the beige g3 right?

7.5 is hfs while 10.x is hfs+ or ufs. if you are trying to take files

7.5 from 10.x then format drive w/7.5.
since i don't have my beige g3 handy, does the floppy work in os 10.x?
A
vague spark in the back of my brain says no.

It's been a couple years, but I remember downloading and playing with
something that purported to be a 68k multiprocessing setup. It had a
strange name like Hen and Chicks or some such... I'll have to go dig
up my Powerbook I was playing with it on and see if it's still on
there. The main problem is it'd require anything using it to be
recompiled with its libraries, and as far as I could find at the time
there hadn't been anything done. I've done a fair bit of googling
without turning it up, no idea if I'm remembing the name at all right
:)
