Joseph,

I was lucky and found a keyboard at a Salvation Army store and another at a
Goodwill store. One of them was missing a key but for $2.99, I could not go
wrong... I also found a LC with monitor and keyboard/mouse for $15.

Re: 4GB HD in Quadra 605 / Performa 475

2003-09-18 Thread Winston S. Brown
I can't say for sure but it should work. Just dl the 7.3.5 HDSetup with the
patch applied for non-Apple ROM drives and format away. You can get the hd
formatter at http://home.earthlink.net/~gamba2/hd.html

Re: How to format HD on LC III

2003-09-13 Thread Winston S. Brown
George,

Go to the Gamba web page - http://home.earthlink.net/~gamba2/

There are a lot of good bootable disk images there. If you have to DL them
to a PC, there is a link to tell you how to get it to a Mac. I used the
super75 boot disk to reformat my HD when nothing else worked.

Quadra questions

2003-08-21 Thread Winston S. Brown
Hi fellow Quads,
Well, I have my Quadra up and running. I installed a new drive, found
RAMDoubler out there and got my email/web stuff loaded. I also found I had
an Apple 300i CD-ROM lying around which works, although it looks crappy
without the sled or the front panel attached.
My question- what next?
I see the Quadra I have (610) has a PDS slot. Since I already have built-in
networking, what other options do I have for this slot?
One more question, is there a way for me to confirm the amount of VRAM I
have?
Thanks,
Winston

Mac to PC printing

2003-08-14 Thread Winston S. Brown
Hello,
Just got my Quadra working fine on the net so now on to tougher challenges!
Anyone know how to print over the network to a Windows XP machine?
Also, recommendations for the best browser and email program for the Quadra?
Thanks,
Winston
