It does NOT work for me as this makes it impossible to test any further patch submission.

I would rather break proposed 8 into smaller pieces and submit them (i.e. the first approx 25 commits are all fine as they are and I’m sure most of the later ones are fine too).

Wfm. There's too much queued up in the commit queues to block on these problems. Pressing on will not impede fixes.
