[Quantum Owners] Re: Web Site and Curborough Now Money

2009-08-31 Thread MichaelHughes7A
Hi Vince.

I can't remember where we are at regarding payment for the mugs. I cannot
recall having had a cheque from you and I only 'think' that I sent you the
invoice, though if I didn't I guess I'll have to ask for a duplicate as it
is not in my usual pending file for such things.

On a less boring topic we have recently returned from a 10 day holiday in
Scarborough - courtesy of a friend of mine who has a 'spare' house there.
We saw a lot of the coast, most of Whitby, a lot of Robin Hood's Bay, and in
the course of our stay practically every level of service in action,
ambulance, police, coastguard, lifeguards, RNLI lifeboats, Search and Rescue
chopper, police ditto and even a fly-past (or over) from the Red Arrows. The
sun shone quite a lot too.

Michael

[Quantum Owners] Seats

2009-08-31 Thread david reekie

My 2+2 ex-XR2 seats are giving up - very saggy and worn now.

Any recommendations for straightforward replacements (must tilt)?

cheers,

Dave.

I have used Fiesta Si "wingback" seats from a 3 door car, the hole
fixings are different but it was very straightforward to drill new
holes. The seats are very comfortable & supportive.

I'm working towards fitting Focus seats to my 2+2, it's a very tight fit
but I think it'll work :) I'll post up some pics if/when I manage it

I measured up many seats whilst working at the garage and found that the
old shape Fiesta ST should fit, Hyundai coupe and Alfa Romeo GTV.
Obviously you would have to be handy at adjusting the runners but I
think they all bolted flat to the floor.

You could get the original reupholstered/paddedin leather or alcantara
to match the cars colour. I've fitted aftermarket reclining buckets to
mine (Ebay purchase - brand new - there are lots for sale).I think MR2
seats will fit as well.

I've got a set of wingback seats from a 3 door Fiesta Si on the
earlier mk3 subframes that I don't need as I've swapped to Recaros
from an RS Turbo. Contact me if you might be interested

[Quantum Owners] Re: Seats

2009-08-31 Thread barnacle

Mine has what I believe to be Audi TT (MK1, presumably) leather seats.
They're a little longer than the floor pan, and need a stand-off
pillar at the back. They're adjustable for rake and reach, and lean
forwards on a latch. The original motorised lift for the squab has
been removed, so it's effectively at its lowest level. The seat belt
clip is part of the seat frame.

Very nice, the most comfortable of any of my cars. I'm six-two or so
and ninety kilos; most seats are a shade small/tight around me.

Neil
