Isn't that fairly normal, the pump runs fast until the pressure builds back up and then it slows down. I assume we are talking about the old low pressure pumps for a carb ? [Quantum Owners] Facet fuel pump
Twice now I've had my facet fuel pump make a funny noise restarting the engine; when the car/ engine is hot. The pump does recover, it sounds like it's racing. Thanks for this really useful info... My build manual recommended 26 for road and 24 for race. I have been setting to 24 for road use and have found them a bit hard, will reduce now, I'll try 20 first.
