Same happened to me a while ago just after the head gasket was
replaced.so changed the stem seals and it sorted it

AJ , iv sent a few emails out and got quotes from £800-£1500 which i think
is a bit steep.

Whilst the service may be excellent.i wouldnt pay £423 extra pounds for
the said service . Ok im not a member of the club yet but even their price
nearly £150 more expensive  than im paying now.

Theres also a H4 in the Scottish kitcar club that has been carbon effect
wrapped.Looks ok ...i was looking at getting mine wrapped but due to the
large panels of the 2+2 ie the bonnet you would end up with join lines.

I took mine off for shot blasting and powder coating and the glue was
rotten and only effectively holding it on at the top.with a little jump
on the frame after all the bolts were out resulted on it coming away with
no damage

i do have a 2+2 towbar ...i just need to get into my cellar and find
itwhich i wont be able to do until saturday...ill post some pics for you
