Re: [Quantum Owners] Re: 40's on Pinto Xtreme: help!

2011-04-15 Thread Ian Harrison
interesting here is the recommendations for idle jet size is consistently
50, with differing air corrections to adjust the idle air mixture and the
progression.

Mine are 60s and are too rich. As Russell says, emissions can even be
reached on my 60s but it runs like a dog on this setting.

What idle jets do you have in and what size choke are you on?

I have a copy of a jetting program I can mail you off list if it would
 help.

Ian,
Don't forget that they do an emissions test on the IVA, but if the
jetting is for a lower cc engine it should be OK. My car
was not running particularly well for the IVA and still isn't I can't
get it to tick over low enough.

I can let you know tomorrow, but if you can send me the jetting

The only jet sizes I do have to hand are F16- 125 on main jets and 45-
F9 idle jets on 34mm chokes, but I cannot remember.

The main thing I want to do for now is get the engine running to an
IVA acceptable standard and worry about correct setting up later.
