Thanks Michael, i was hoping nobody was going to notice that !
I want it for my H4x4 project, much better than trying to extract the
rusty chassis from my H4.

I think you'll be the only one who would be interested in the body - I can
only think others will bid for the RS1800i bits. It all looks very messy
though!

It might be worth checking if Geoff Booth still has his uncompleted H4
for sale. I know Andy Haworth went to look at it a few months back.
Details can be found on Club website classifieds.

2009-02-22 Thread Simon Musgrove-Wethey

Hi Jim et al,

Re Simon here was obviously more interested in it than me, out sniped me at
£720

Sorry Jim, the final decision to buy was all done yesterday evening,
otherwise I would have notified the club members.

I bought the kit on behalf of a friend, Bob Alison, who has just retired as
senior fire officer from the fire service and is looking for a project to
do. He is very keen on becoming an active member of the club and so will be
in contact shortly.

Does anyone have a check list of parts required so we can go through and
find what's missing/should be included etc e.g.

1. All the items that should have come with the kit
2. A list of all the parts required from the donor
3. A list of any other items that need to be sourced from elsewhere.

as this would be of immense help.

Simon

I've still got all of the paperwork that came with my kit, including
the manifest from Quantum - I can make a copy of it for you. The H4
uses almost all of the parts from the donor other than the bodyshell
and some trim. Off the top of my head the other bits that you need
include:

* Indicators for the front bumper - either from an early 90s Celica
(all orange) or MX3 (with built in sidelights)
* Soundproofing and carpet for the interior and boot
* Exhaust and cat (if you've got one) mounts
* Door mirrors + associated wiring and switch etc if fitting electric
mirrors

Pete

P.S. When Bob joins the club, please encourage him to become a
magazine downloader - I had to post 270 magazines at the weekend :-(

2009-02-25 Thread Mark D-B

Hi Simon,

If you know of specific items that are missing, this may be of
interest - .http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?
ViewItem&item=230327393802
I have no connection with the seller, just have an "XR2i" search
permanently on the go on eBay in case anything of interest that pops
up for Elen's H4.

All the best,
