[Quantum Owners] Re: Fuel tank levels

2014-03-03 Thread jin
I had exactly the same problem

you want some PPG aerospace 890 pro seal, this is just that, military grade
bathroom sealant

http://quantumforum.proboards.com/thread/25/rebuild-diary?page=25

when I checked, the smaller tank seal was still available from ford but not
the larger one (which I needed)

There are 2 versions of the tank on the Mk2 Fiesta, the later one is a
bigger capacity, not sure if the earlier Mk2 Fiesta one is that same as
the Mk1

One has the fuel sender on the side, the other has it on the top.
The XR2 one is the same.

Has your car got a fuel injected engine ?

Is there a difference between the standard fiesta tank& the XR2 one?

The reason for a new tank is that the current one is a bit battered&
bruised; also it is the best part of 26 years old!
