[Quantum Owners] Smelly question
When I come home from a lovely drive in the 2+2, my spouse reminds me of the fact that I smell like 'old car'. The problem seems to be the exhaust fumes returning in the cabin, because the smell is also present in the boot. (I know the bootseal is damaged) Does anyone experience the same ? What have you done, or what can I do about it? Any ideas welcome, (except from Antony, who made his 2+2 electric!) Check the join in the exhaust as it's quite near the gearstick hole. Any smells from the engine will come through that aswell. I 've not done this but saw it on the TV. If you can smell exhaust gases that might be coming from the engine bay.Check for a Exhaust gas leak using a bit of tissue paper, held near to the Exhaust manifold and gasket.With the engine running. About the fumes: it is only apparent when top is off, so not coming from inside.Looks like the rear is making too much turbulence, causing low pressure behind the occupants.
