When does the fuse blow ? Every time you accelerate or only occasionally. I assume it doesn’t do it if you rev the engine while stationary. Did it start doing it suddenly or has it always done it. What is the engine in the car, is it fuel injected or carb. What value is the fuse currently. When it blows what does it look like, just melted and sagged or blacken around the break. We then tried excessively moving the car (dropping the clutch and almost stalling the engine really shakes it about) but nothing. It also puts a slight strain on the requirement for fuel but again nothing made it blow a fuse. I havent yet tried rocking the back end by bounding on it which I have read may get some kind of result I am hoping to get a chance later today to lok at the fuel pump and the tubes around it as apparently these could be blocked? [Quantum Owners] help with parts and contact
Hi guys, I am after some help with parts. My Xtreme failed MOT yesterday due to perished anti Roll bar drop links on the rear. I have no idea what vehicle these are from. Would anyone be able to help. I have also just found an issue during acceleration. When accelerating heavily the ignition fuse blows (cutting fuel pump) I cant find any obvious rason for this. Also, getting in contact with anyone from Quantum appears to be impossible. Does anyone have a contact number for them that works? Re your fuse blowing ,check for movement of the engine/drivetrain/axle as this may be causing a short,I have also had a wrongly wired fuel pump cause a fuse to blow .live had been wired to the case,earth to spade .fine till the pump moved in its rubber mounting and shorted case to earth.
