I tried to install the latest version of R (2-1.0)in anAIX machine. I was able to tar, and configure with no errors. However, when I said make, I got the following errors:

Stop. make: 1254-004 The error code from the last command is 2.
I understand I have to edit the Makefile. Can someone tell me which Makefile(folder) and also which flags to edit. I greatly appreciate your help. Thanks
