I've been debating doing that versus fixing up the Comments extension for my needs. How tightly do you have them integrated? Does creating a new page in Radiant create a forum post? What about the two user models? It does work, but there are some caveats: - It uses Akismet for spam detection. If you don't want to use Akismet, you have to write your own code. - Email addresses are required but it doesn't do error handling cleanly. In fact, this second issue is a little tricky. It could be said that a commenting module is essentially a forum with the first comments being a blog post or an article or something. In that sense, one could just use a forum. My sites http://onghu.com/te and http://openutk.org are actually engineering community resources and therefore, I'm interested in exploring both the avenues that you mention: (1) Integration of comments (2) Integration of a forum ...and I'm even keen on seeing if there's a good way to: 1. I would like my Radiant installation to have comments. I see that there is an extension for comments. Is this the way to go? Or is it better to set up a forum on the side?
