[SlimDevices: Radio] Finally, some improvement?
I almost dare not say this, but my radio seems to be playing better for the last few days. I'm running 7.4.2 thru Squeezebox.com and I was able to get along with a few odd behaviors e.g. reminders to upgrade, after shut-off radio would go back on(no sound), push several buttons to start the stream, etc. But all in all, I could tolerate the situation (better than with 7.5.0) Now, it's still too early to be sure, but the radio is back! Still using 7.4.2, but no more upgrade nagging, no odd stuff - radio starts right up just like when I first got it. I' m trying to be hopeful here that the techs have implemented some changes at SB.com and they've finally got their fingers on it. -- sordof sordof's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=37644 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79460 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] DHCP client issue
Just recieved my Squeezebox radio, already have the boom and duet at another location. Noticed a similar DHCP issue with the radio. Checked the DHCP client list on my router (Belkin 54g) and noticed that while the Radio's MAC address had an ip the hostname was listed as unknown rather than squeezebox. I reset the DHCP lease from forever to 30 mintes rebooted the router and have not had any issues since. -- stringmn stringmn's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=38579 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79267 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Finally, some improvement?
I'm on 7.5 and it also seems most of my problems are fixed. Had a BBQ last night and took it outside and it worked fine the whole evening, perfect synch with my mp3tunes library and my Boom + SB2. A couple of weeks ago I would have been lucky to get it going, and if so it would only last a few minutes. There was a recent post that seems to suggest the issue has been resolved. -- Justme Justme's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=369 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79460 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
[SlimDevices: Radio] How to reset radio location?
I live in Portland, OR. After we had to reset our wireless at home, my SBR doesn't not recognize our location and says Damascus, OR. It doesn't pick up local NPR stations. Any suggestions? Any suggestions? Thanks. Yes, create a radiotime account at http://www.radiotime.com/ and link it to your MySB account. This will override geoip location that is normally used. (Radiotime gets it right for me, but google analytics thinks I work in Glide, OR... which is down near Roseburg.. nowhere near Springtucky where I live...) -- snarlydwarf snarlydwarf's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1179 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79465 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] help on saving internet stations to favorites?
My guess is that you are trying to save your favorites while connected to mysqueezebox.com. It is not intuitive and the instructions are not helpful. You cannot add a station to favorites while actually listening to it. What you need to do is to press the + button before you press the big knob that sets the station playing. That is you press + with the cursor on the name of the station when it is listed on the screen (either from a menu choice or from a search) before you start playing it. A menu will then come up which will include the option to add to Favorites. An alternative is to add to your favorites list by going to the mysqueezebox.com website on your computer. At the top of your account home page is a button for Favorites. If you know the URL of the station you can just add it on the form. If you don't know the URL, the easiest way to find and add a station to favorites is to click on Remote Control. A new window will open with the same choices that appear on your Radio. Click on Internet Radio. If your station is one that is categorized you can find its name or you can scroll down to Search and type in the name or call letters of the station you want (not the URL). Either way your station will appear with the option to add it to your favorites by clicking on the little heart icon. Hope this helps. -- mpower9 mpower9's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33930 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79355 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
