Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Delete Non-Functioning Networks on Radio
A factory restore will clear you unused network and when you connect to mysqueezebox.com again you radio is about the same as before the restore. -- stones stones's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43974 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=85661 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
[SlimDevices: Radio] Battery not charging.
I received my Logitech accessory pack on Friday and the battery shows no indication of charging. It is fitted correctly and I have tried it a few times. Logitech are supposed to be calling back. Is there anyway I can confirm it is a dead battery pack and not a faulty Radio. -- veragooner veragooner's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21099 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=85666 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Battery not charging.
So your Radio does in fact work with the battery, correct? I'd just let it play for a few hours via battery then plug it in, see if the indicator starts to show it is being charged. I believe the batteries are shipped fully charged. -- toby10 toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=85666 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

That is one complicated network you have there. ;) -- toby10 toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=85609 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Battery not charging.
No, the battery does not power the radio and nothing indicates it is connected or charging. If I unplug the radio it turns off. -- veragooner veragooner's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21099 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=85666 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

OIC, sorry, I thought maybe the battery icon was just not showing that it was charging the battery. -- toby10 toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=85666 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Radio and Squeezebox Server routed
It took a while and even more trial and error, but to a user, only two networks show up - Open and Secure. A connected device on either connection will automatically switch to the better signal if the device is taken from one end of the house to the other. Most of my frustration was trying to figure out how to get the SB Radio working correctly. It works with the AP's that are a part of the wired LAN (where the SB Server lives), but not with the separate subnet "Guest" leg of the LAN. Do you know of a way to have the SB Radio find the SB Server when the Radio is atached to a separate-subnet leg of the LAN and the Server is on the primary LAN? The SB3 and Boom will do that, but not the Radio. Thanks. -- whdean whdean's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9127 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=85609 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Delete Non-Functioning Networks on Radio
Yes, but is there a way to delete the unused networks from the list without a factory reset? Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Radio and Squeezebox Server routed
There is a way to do that, yes. In fact, if setup properly your player could be in an office is Moscow accessing your home server in Miami. I do not know how to do that. It involves port forwarding, passwords etc.. Why do you want different subnets on your one home network? -- toby10 toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=85609 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Radio and Squeezebox Server routed
I saw in the Radio options that there is a remote connection option - Seems like that wuld send me out onto the internet and back to my home network to connect - Around your elbow kind of thing. I want a separate wireless subnet because all of our computers with any real data on them are on the wired leg of the LAN. Until just recently when I had to add secured wireless AP's to the wired leg of the LAN to be able to connect to the SqueezeServer with the SB Radio, I did not have any wireless connection to the LAN where the real data is stored. Even now, the only thing that is set up to access the secured wireless on the wired LAN is the SB Radio. All other wireless devices are on the separate-subnet leg of the LAN, which is not secured. Those devices are 2 SB3's, 1 SB Boom, 1 netbook and 2 smartphones. The SB's connect fine to the SB Server on the wired LAN. Even the Android Smartphones using SqueezeCommander can find the server - But not the SB Radio, so it's on the wired LAn subnet. There is no real data on either the phones or the netbook - The wireless connection on the separate subnet is just used for internet connectivity - I do not want them to have access to the wired computers. Also, when our daughters visit, or when our friends or their friends are here with their wireless devices - Everybody has a smartphone now, it seems - There is in effect an open "Guest" connection available. In short, I want to be able to use my SB Radio wirelessly, which necessitites a secured AP on the primary LAN subnet. I also want wireless devices, whatever they are, to have open/unsecured access to the internet, which necessitates a separate-subnet wireless router connected to my wired LAN. It's a lot of stuff, but it does a great job and as I said earlier, a user would just see Open and Secured as wireless connection choices - And if anyone turns on a laptop or smartphone in our house, it will usually automatically connect to the open wireless network, so most of the time, users don't even have to choose between the two networks.. -- whdean whdean's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9127 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=85609 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Radio and Squeezebox Server routed
Well I think you are way over engineering this, which is why you are having issues. Keep your open WiFi subnet for the casual user/guest. Use secured WiFi for your Radio on your main subnet, using WPA2+AES for security. Problem solved. :) -- toby10 toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=85609 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Radio and Squeezebox Server routed
Yes - - That's exactly what I have done, and it works great. I am not having trouble with this set-up - It's works just like you just described. What I was having touble with was getting my Radio to connect to the separate-subnet "Open" leg of the network. When I added the secured AP's to the primary subnet, the Radio connects to them fine. As far as over-engineered, you may be right - But it's only to the extent that it's like what you recommended, but with both an Open and a Secured connection on each end of the house, tied together by same the SSID for Open and the same SSID for Secured. My long posts were in response to another poster that was having the same issues with his SB Radio - My only remaining "issue" is whether I'm missing something in not beeing able to connect to the SB Server with the Radio, if the Radio is on a separrate subnet. Thanks - I appreciate your feedback. -- whdean whdean's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9127 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=85609 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
