Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Shortwave Stations

Don't think any shortwave broadcasts are on SqueezeBox menu's.
Though if any such streams are out there you should be able to play
them by a simple cut paste of their http URL into your Favorites.

There is no single list of every stream offered, it would be in the
tens of thousands. I'd suggest going to www.MySqueezeBox.com, create a
free account, then go to Remote Control Internet Radio, start poking
around. This will NOT play on your computer without adding a software
player to your computer, but it will give you a general idea what is
out there from around the world.

I listen to jazz from Poland, easy listening from Paris, new age from
S. Korea, I sometimes even listen to US stations. ;)

What Shortwave radio stations or international broadcasters with English
programming are available on the Squeezebox radio, and what apps are
used or where might the stations be found?

 Thanks

There are many. Just search Internet Radio Talk Public/NPR
Explore Public/NPR National Networks. They aren't listed by language
so you may have to visit the broadcaster's website to determine when
the English broadcasts are.

If you don't have a Squeezebox yet go to the tunein.com site and follow
the same path.

Try internet search for Radio Tirana. In the USA evening hours, the
programs are in English. They even read QSL cards couple times a week.

Try adding this:

However, when I tried, all I got was dead silence. On my pc, the link
opened in Winamp.
