Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Shortwave Stations
Hey WayneBR, thanks for the help. The http://95.81.162.158:8000/angliyskiy link worked for me in Squeezebox with the same live stream that was being broadcast from the http://english.ruvr.ru/ website at about 22:00 UTC. Maybe when you tuned in there was no live stream at that time. Where did you get the URL from on the Voice of Russia site and how do I find these links on other international shortwave broadcaster's sites? With so many countries cutting back on shortwave broadcasts and moving to webcasting because of the cost, I was hoping to use Squeezebox to update the shortwave listening hobby that I've had for 40+ years (oops- just gave up my age!) Thanks again for the help. -- Robdaman Robdaman's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=47096 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=88037 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
[SlimDevices: Radio] Reciveing Podcasts
How can I recive Old Time Radio Daily Westerns on my squeeze box radio? I can get most other podcasts from Podcast Alley but this show is from Feedburner, does that make the difference. -- edkulisz edkulisz's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=47169 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=88074 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Shortwave Stations
Same here, been listening to shortwave when I was 7, I'm now 67. The site you gave for Russia gave the link to click in order to listen. On my pc, this opened in Winamp. In wimamp, double click where the name of the station is located. This will give you the link for the stream. This may not work for all sites. Happy hunting... -- wayneBR wayneBR's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=38249 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=88037 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Shortwave Stations
Wow, how things have changed. I was an avid swl'er in the 80's and 90's. I still have my kenwood r-5000 and r-600. I loved hunting for stations. Hunting on the web just doesn't seem like it would be the same. I understand that it must be a lot cheaper for the stations. -- maggior Rich - Setup: 2 SB3s, 4 Booms, 1 Duet, 1 Receiver, 1 Touch, iPeng on iPod Touch. Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Shortwave Stations
Go to http://tunein.com/ (formerly RadioTime.com) and there you can search for stations and/or countries that interest you. You can get any of the stations on that will play on the website by installing the Radio Time app from mysqueezebox.com. You can set the ones you like as presets on the TuneIn site and they will appear under the Radio Time app menu on your radio. -- mpower9 mpower9's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33930 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=88037 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Reciveing Podcasts
I don't think it is a feedburner issue. I have a number of podcasts that work perfectly well from feedburner. I did try to add it to my Podcast Player from Podcast Alley and it would not play. Said it was "unable to parse ASF". I also went directly to the Old Time Western Website and tried the direct URL for audio from there. Got the same error message. You may want to add to the open bug at http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=10924 which seems to be dealing with unable to parse issues. -- mpower9 mpower9's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33930 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=88074 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Reciveing Podcasts
Why not just use a feed/podcast aggregator program, or itunes, to automatically download what you want? Set it up to place the downloads in folders under your SBS music file branch and the episodes will be there and ready to listen to when you want to listen. -- Goodsounds Goodsounds's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14201 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=88074 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

Something funky going on with this board...I posted the following solution last week and saw it posted but now it's gone. Here goes again: 1. Delete your ID & Password in MySqueezebox.com. Install the app but don't sign in on the web. 2. Go into your Squeezebox and enter your ID & Password from there. I talked about that hack in my Squeezebox Radio Show #3. -- chipmalee chipmalee's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=39278 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=87361 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Listening to any talk show on demand on your Squeezebox
Something funky with DAR. I had my normal recording scheduled but seems when DAR can't record, it repeats itself to record...over and over (see screenshot). Also DAR was "down for maintenance" over the holiday weekend but it kept on scheduling recordings but recordings were not made and it just looped itself. Also, I keep deleting the recordings in the screenshot and it would not deleteughhh. +---+ |Filename: ScreenshotDARAmock1.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=11933| +---+ -- chipmalee chipmalee's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=39278 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=87361 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
