I've put the fully qualified path in and still no joy...

MusicFolder: /share/SqueezeMusic/Music <-Settings Basic Settings

ls -l /share/SqueezeMusic/Music
drwxrwxrwx 779 adminadminist90112 Feb 23 2010 FlacFiles/
drwxrwxrwx 3 sean everyone 4096 Mar 25 23:12 iTunes/

Multi-Library settings

Include Directory 1: /share/SqueezeMusic/Music/iTunes
Exclude Directory 1: /share/SqueezeMusic/Music/FlacFiles

For include Genres, I checked all of them just in case.

Still get 0 files..

You should specify the full directory path.

Also, since you asked, the Multi Library plugin can only create virtual
libraries based on the files which have been scanned by standard
Squeezebox Server scanner, so you can't point it to directories which
aren't scanned by the standard scanner. However, I think it might work
with shortcut, so if you have a shortcut/soft link:
/squeezemusic/music/somedir
Which points to:
/othermusic/someotherdir

It might work in Multi Library to also specify
/othermusic/someotherdir, but I haven't tried this myself.

Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Multi Library on SBR?

2011-06-03 Thread spc337

I've read the above posts but still struggling to get multi library to
work. I'm trying to do the basic setup of Library A and B which are
completely separate.

MusicFolder: /squeezemusic/music
/squeezemusic/music/flacfiles (Library A)
/squeezemusic/music/customtracks (Library B)

First - Do all the Libraries need to reside in the library directory
specific on the SqueezeCenter->Settings->Music Folder (example above).

In Multi-Library settings, I'm creating a library B and putting the
directory name "customtracks" in the Included Directory 1 and flacfiles
in the excluded directory 1. Is this correct?

After I save this, I get a screen that says - Library B (Number of
songs: 0)

So I'm assuming I've done something wrong. Do the director names in
Include/Exclude need to be full path names or just relative the the
Music Folder path?

Other ideas?

Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Sirius Radio?

That's the good news. The bad news is that it will reboot the radio
periodically. Sometimes you can play a Sirius stream for a couple of
hours, other times it will reboot after 20 minutes. The problem has
existed for a while, and is still present in the latest firmware. I'm
not sure why it is not being addressed.

Yes, install the sirius app at mysqueezebox.com (login to your mysb.com
account and add the app from the app gallery). Once installed, enter
your sirius credentials. You do need the "internet streaming"
subscription that is an add-on to the basic sirius subscription.

Once installed, Sirius shows up on any of your SB players under "my
apps"

I noticed yesterday there is a Sirius Radio Plugin listed on the Plugin

Don't ask me any more, cos I have no idea what Sirius Radio is.

2011-06-03 Thread jhonsber...@msn.com

When I first got my radio when they first came out it was continually
losing a connection ( blue Internet
Icon was a familiar site) .After a couple of firmware updates the
problem went away completely for many
Months.

Now with the latest software, the problem is back with a vengeance .I
lose connection everyday. Turning off and then back on the radio
resolves the issue, the same method I used when I first had this
problem

There have been no changes in my network setup.

I guess the bug was quashed and now has risen from the dead.

Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Radio 3 at 320kbps

2011-06-03 Thread Labarum

The 320kb/s R3 stream is back.

It may be accessed outside UK without the iPlayer pluggin if you tune
it manually.

Cut and paste

Code:

www.bbc.co.uk/radio/listen/live/r3_aaclca.pls[\code]

into the "Tune in URL" box in the Internet Radio Section of the web interface
of the Squeezeserver.

I have it saved as a favourite labelled "BBC R3 HD (Direct)"

It works from Cyprus without using my VPN which gives me UK IP address.

If you want to see what a VPN will do for you this works well

  https://www.my-private-network.co.uk/

iPlayer will work as if in UK, even for TV content

Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Radio 3 at 320kbps

2011-06-03 Thread andynormancx

There add two different iPlayer solutions for Squeezebox. There is the
plugin that we have talked about already. That runs on Squeezebox
Server (SBS), so you need to be running a server for that. It allows
any Squeezebox player access to iPlayer content.

There is also the BBC Radio applet, that can be installed directly on
Squeezebox Radios and Touches. This means that it can be used without
having to have a server, though I do find it a bit slower than the
plugin version.

The plugin can be installed via the "Plugins" tab on the SBS settings
page on the web UI. I've forgotten for the moment how you install
applets.

Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] radio shuts down when turned up to loud volume

2011-06-03 Thread munkivelli

Interesting theory about the power supply... i may have to look into
that. this seems to have all of a sudden started doing this (pretty
sure I had successfully run it at that loud of volume last summer). To
see if it was that specific radio, I had put the other Radio that I have
in my house in place of that one, and it still did it. The funny thing
about that is that I just plugged the same power supply that was
already there into it. This weekend, I will try switching power
supplies around and see if the problem moves with the power supply or
not...

Firstly, thanks very much indeed for these amazingly quick replies! I
did say that these questions would be the first of many - here goes,
with apologies if they are extremely basic idiot-level.

1) How do I get the iPlayer plug-in for the Squeezebox and how do I
use/install it? Is there a simple guide for the uninitiated/idiotic? I
have, and use regularly, the iPlayer on my laptop.

2) Does this mean that, in contrast to internet radio generally, I'd
have to ahve my laptop and the Squeezebox server up and running to
receive via the plug-in?

I did say these might be basic questions!

2011-06-03 Thread andynormancx

However to complicate matters, sometimes when you first select the
standard stream to play, it will very briefly be labelled as 320kbps in
SBS. I suspect that it falls back from 320-192-56 depending on
conditions.

The HD feed in the iPlayer plugin in comparison seems to stick at
320kbps.

Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Radio 3 at 320kbps

2011-06-03 Thread andynormancx

Using the traffic monitor on my router confirms this. If I set the HD
stream from the iPlayer plugin playing 340kbps are being used by the
Squeezebox stream. If I play from the standard Internet Radio stream
then around 240kbps is being used.

When playing the non-HD stream it is labelled in SBS as 192k, however
it also sometimes drops back to 56k (at which point about 64kbps of
data is seen at the router).

[SlimDevices: Radio] Radio 3 at 320kbps

2011-06-03 Thread JKH

I've at last taken the plunge into streaming and have bought a Duet. In
the three days I've had it, I've been amazed at both the range and
quality of internet radio, which I'd only previous experienced via my
laptop. I have not yet managed to get up and running with my muisc
collection, as I only solved what was a firewall problem very late last
night.

The duet's controller tells me that Radio 3 is streaming at 48kbps, but
my (pretty critical) ears really do tell me otherwise. The sound
(through a Musical Fidelity amp and LS35A speakers) is very good
indeed, and significantly 'airier' than that via either Sky or Freesat.
It's like I remember FM used to be some years ago.It simply doesn't
sound like a 48kbps stream to me.

So my questions (i'm sure the first of many) are; how can I make
absolutely sure I get the Radio 3 320kbps stream via my Duet amnd is it
possible that the information that the BBC is straeming isn't correct
for some reason?

Hi.
that sounds very much like your power supplies do not deliver the power
they should.

I had a broken power supply for a while and used some other one that
had the same voltage but only about 3/4 the amps. The radio did the
same just after 60% volume. When the new power supply arrived it was
all fine again.

Regards.
