Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Add Channel?
Neither, both are just web sites. You need the direct stream URL that resides within that web site. Play those stations on your computer then find the actual URL from your software player, how you do this depends on which software player you are using (WMP, iTunes, WinAmp, etc..) Can you emulate the issue if you just *jiggle* the power cord where it enters the Radio without actually moving the Radio? toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=95098 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Where does NOAA go?
Likely the stream itself is unreliable based on information from their own web site: http://www.nws.noaa.gov/nwr/streamaudio.htm - internet streams not reliable - streams hosted by third parties (universities, individuals) - limited number of server connections - etc toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=95093 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

That would help eliminate the possibility that the error in the Radio is actually something else than the power intake. Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Where does NOAA go?
As mentioned, the NOAA Weather Radio streams are not provided by NOAA/NWS directly. These feeds are often provided by volunteers, providing them as a community service. The primary site responsible for providing these streams is Weather Underground. More info about their weather radio feeds, including a list of which ones are currently online and available, can be found here: http://www.wunderground.com/wxradio/index.html virgiliomi's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33715 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=95093 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Where does NOAA go?
Thank you for the replies. I just noticed that the screen has the weatherunderground logo so that explains it. There is so much to this little black box of joy, I am sure I am not getting the full benefit of all its features. I am going to have to trawl this forum. Thanks again for the information. Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Add Channel?
SB players cannot play Flash format streams. Try to find another (more universal) stream format for that station, like mp3 or wma. If they do not offer an alternative stream format on their site you can try emailing the station. Often they have other direct stream URL's available but they just don't publicize it. But then, just as often, they do not. :( Or ask them if they stream via a third party stream aggregator service, like TuneIn, ShoutCast, Live365, Reciva, vTuner, etc... If they do not ask them why not? :) toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=95100 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

[SlimDevices: Radio] Fall back alarm not fixed?
I recently upgraded to v7.7.1 LMS but now my SR is having the same problem I had in this post: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?89292-Always-fallback-alarmhighlight= I thought this was fixed in 7.7.1 (I could be mistaken) If it is not fixed, will the 'fix' from the above post still work? I'm using the sb radio and have added phc to my tunein presets. The radio shows appears as shows (podcasts). Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Slacker App still not working / some stations still drop
Any news on this yet? The slacker APP still stops after 4 or 5 songs. It's very annoying. Only slacker does this. We've added more error logging a few days ago. Now we do indeed see that we're getting a lot of errors back from the Slacker API. Some of them actually tell us to retry (500 Please retry), which we currently ignore. We're going to investigate this. -- Michael ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
