[SlimDevices: Radio] Error: No items found on playlist - getting this a lot now.
Over the past week or so I have been getting error:No items found on playlist when I try to listen to many of my favourite stations. These stations had played normally until now. I haven't changed any settings on my radio. Has anything changed on how the Squeezebox handles playlists? calypso22's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=57310 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97272 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] White noise from speakers on standby
Try turning off the sound effects, see if that solves it. Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Error: No items found on playlist - getting this a lot now.
This can be due to network problems or security s/w not delivering all packets to player. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97272 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Error: No items found on playlist - getting this a lot now.
Thank you. In some cases, I have been able to search for these stations (mostly Shoutcast and Calm Radio stations) and connect directly without difficulty. What sort of player are you using and are you using a local LMS or mysqueezebox.com ? If you are using a local LMS - I suggest clearing thr LMS cache and restarting LMS. Restarting Router may also be useful. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97272 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Upgrade SB Radio to UE Radio
This is interesting: Logitech support sends out e-mails where they claim you can simply go back by doing a factory reset, the holding (not back, the rewind button) while it boots and then selecting the SB firmware. I tried it and it doesn't work for me but then I updated my radio manually to the first available FW and have seen updates since then, so this might be different if you update through MySB now. Has anybody else heard of this procedure and did it work for someone? pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96256 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Upgrade SB Radio to UE Radio
This is interesting: Logitech support sends out e-mails where they claim you can simply go back by doing a factory reset, the holding (not back, the rewind button) while it boots and then selecting the SB firmware. The most interesting part about this is the fact that support knows about it :-). This way of getting back to the last installed firmware has been there (and documented on the wiki afaik) ever since the Controller. Buttons have changed, but it's been a life saver for many of us... Which also means that once you've updated from one UE firmware to a more recent UE firmware, the SB firmware is gone. Only one previous copy survives. -- Michael ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
[SlimDevices: Radio] All 4 SB Radios dropped offline!
A mildly interesting curiosity, now resolved. Last night between 11PM and midnight all four of my SB Radios dropped offline (I ping them every hour). Each was displaying the red wifi icon, and after a power-cycle reluctantly reconnected. They'd all disconnected again by 1AM, and the bedroom Radio woke us with the funky bass tune for the first time in many months. The odd thing about this is that it's JUST the Radios which were affected. This includes one which sits about 1M away from the wifi AP, so usually gets 100% signal. The Touch (usually about 60%) and SB Classic (30%) were fine, as were the iThings and my laptop. Each was power-cycled again this morning and have behaved normally until early evening. Has anybody else heard of this procedure and did it work for someone? I tried this a bit. Holding immediately after selecting Factory reset menu doesn't help. However, turn it off and then hold while power it on will revert the firmware to the previously installed version. As long as you haven't upgraded the UE Smart Radio firmare after you initially switched to it, this will return it to the Squeezebox firmware. After returning to Squeezebox firmware a reboot will turn it back to UE Smart Radio, so while it's using Squeezebox firmware you need to do something to make it stick. I did a firmware upgrade to the same version already installed and that made it stick when I rebooted it next time, I guess there is probably some hidden keyboard command to make it stick without having to do a firmware upgrade. On mysqueezebox.com it works like this. - When you have selected to upgarde to UE Smart Radio a new menu will appear on the Squeezebox which you need to select to upgrade. - After upgrading there is no way to access any settings on mysqueezebox.com. - If you rollback the firmware as described above, to turn it into a Squeezebox, you can access its setting on mysqueezebox.com again (after a factory reset) and cancel the upgrade to UE Smart Radio and this will also make the Upgrade to UE Smart Radio menu item disappear from the Squeezebox screen again. So to sum it up, the operation will work for now, but if you stay on UE Smart Radio for a while so Logitech publish a new firmware version which you upgrade to, I believe you will have to use the manual method to get back to Squeezebox firmware. I can confirm that the manual method works, just tried it in my own setup. Hopefully Logitech realize that a geeky solution like the above won't work for normal users and soon publish a better solution for people that regret the UE Smart Radio upgrade. erland's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3124 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96256 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] All 4 SB Radios dropped offline!
Have you any other wireless devices that remained connected at that time? Because, given what evidence you presented, I'd have looked at the router first. Like I said, Touch, SB3, iThings and laptop unaffected, whereas the SB Radios were totally KO'd. I wouldn't bother, Sherlock. toby10 wrote: Highly doubt Radio SB3 share any similar parts being four years apart in development and are completely different software/firmware architecture. Agreed. I'm pretty sure that even Boom, which shared more hardware with SB2/SB3, used a different wireless chipset. Looking again at pictures of Radio's internals, it appears that the wifi chipset is soldered on the main circuit board and cannot be removed. peterw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2107 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79928 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
