Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Setting up an Additional Radio
Setting smanager is for the older players which had most of the settings kept by LMS as the player was quite dumb. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109817 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

I'm pretty sure the device arrived having been factory reset as when first powered up it stepped me through the language, etc settings. Right now I'm waiting for Michael to unregister the previous user from the device. Once that's done, if I still can't get the plugins to work, I will follow your instructions. Thanks again. phred's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=52602 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109817 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

It is not really possible. There is no single configuration file - preferences are spread out amongst many files - IIRC this is the norm in Lua implementations. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109817 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Setting up an Additional Radio
The first thing I'd do with a used Radio is a factory reset: https://support.logitech.com/en_us/article/13945 Next, I'd reapply the latest firmware. Go into Settings/Advanced/Applets and deselect "Reinstall after Firmware Update". Then, you can get Radio firmware here: http://update-origin.slimdevices.com/update/firmware/7.9.2/baby_7.7.3_r16676.bin Download it to your Squeezebox "\server\firmware" folder and reboot everything. Radio should detect new firmware or you can manually update it via menus. Once everything is confirmed to work as expected, you can apply applets if you want. There is no "easy" way to copy settings from one Radio to another. It's possible I'd guess if you SSH into the first Radio, copy the right configuration files, and apply them via SSH to the second unit, but I'd not call this easy and I don't know what files to copy. The previous owner needs to un-register the Radio from his/her mysb.com account, have they done this? For best results, PM Michael Herger with you details and the MAC address of the Radio, he will probably be able to resolve this issue. *Study/Server - LMS 7.9.2 -* Pi3B+/pCP 4.1.0/pi screen/HiFiBerry DAC+/jivelite, 25K library and playlists on WDMyCloud, LMS cache on a USB stick (formatted ntfs). *Lounge* - Pi2/pCP 4.1.0 > HiFiBerry DIGI+ > AudioEngine DAC1 > AVI DM5 *Dining Room* - Pi3B/pCP 4.1.0 > HiFiBerry AMP+/retro radio *Garage* - Pi3B/Pi screen/HiFiBerry DAC+/pCP 4.1.0 > Edifier R980T *In car* - RPi3B/pCP in AP mode > HiFiBerry DAC+ > car's audio (files on a 2TB USB drive) *Spares* - 1xTouch, 1xSB3, 1xRadio, 1xBoom kidstypike's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10436 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109817 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

FWIW, LMS > is running on a Windows 7 box. > Thanks. While waiting for an answer to my original post, I have discovered that this new (used) unit can't load/see any plugins. Nor can it connect to any radio stations that I have set up in the Favorites section. Looking at my original Radio, the firmware on both is the same (and the latest.) And plugins on the original (specifically Custom Clock Helper and Super Date Time) don't appear on the new device. When trying to connect to a 'Favorite' internet radio station this new device throws a "Connection reset by remote host" error. I can reach the same stations on the original radio. Does the 'remote host' in the error message refer to my LMS server? Or to the actual host of the internet station? Either way it doesn't make sense since my original radio connects. The 'Information' tab on LMS (7.9.2 - 1533559127) shows the device is connected. I'd like to get this resolved in the next day or two so that I still have the option to return the device for a refund. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to get this resolved? Or do you think the device is faulty?
