Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Strange SB Radio connectivity behaviour
My Radio behaved like that when I had two instances of LMS running on two separate PC's. That said...I was using the SSOTS QPkg for my LMS originally then I saw some recently created a fully functional native QPkg that included Putty so I moved that a few months ago and got my LMS up to version 8, I wonder if there might be a vestige of the original SSOTS still running...doubtful but worth a poke around. I am not a super techie, so messing around on my NAS is sometimes a bit daunting. I think I will try a factory reset. If I did have 2 LMSs running on the network I presume I would see them both on my Android App...? My Touch and Boom are both stab;e. Thanks for the suggestions! I have done a factory reset, it seems to be holding the connectivity on the device, so I think problem solved...however it can not find my LMS, I seem to remember there was a thread on how to connect a Radio to an LMS v8 server...I will try to find that. Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Strange SB Radio connectivity behaviour
The good news is the factory reset did indeed fix the unstable network connectivity...but the strange behaviour continues. As before I can operate the unit with the Android App or the LMS WebUI, but as soon as I try to use the device UI it does not see the LMS. I upgraded the firmware to 7.7.3 R16676, but the instructions here - https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?111938-Squeezebox-Radio-would-not-connect-to-LMS-8-quot-Update-required-quot don't work since the Applet Installer is not showing the right options for the Patch Installer...I am guessing since the unit keeps reverting to mySB. I did notice that after I use the Radio's UI then go back to the Web UI the WebUI asks if I want to connect it to the LMS from mySB, and I am able to stream music to it after I do that...but I see no Now Playing on the Radio when I do that. Do I need to install a 7.x additional server to install the patch? Thanks all! Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Squeezebox Radio keeps losing wireless connection and won't reconnect - any ideas?
I also had no trouble at all with my router for a long time, and haven't made any changes there, so I don't suspect the router is at fault. torarnv's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=36900 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97791 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Squeezebox Radio would not connect to LMS 8: "Update required"
I'm running LMS 8 and seeing this in the web UI on the Settings>Information page: You seem to be using a Radio with an outdated firmware, not recognizing this version of Logitech Media Server. Please consider patching it. The Radio has firmware 7.7.3-r16676, and it connects and works just fine with LMS 8. Is there a later firmware available that I should install from mysqueezebox.com, or just live with the warning message? I had that message on my Information page also after doing a factory reset of my SB Radio, but I was able to follow the instructions on the first post of this thread and the message disappeared, I did not need to revert to 7.x or setup a second 7.x LMS.
