[SlimDevices: Radio] No album cover on radio
One of my synchronized radio's isn't showing the album covers anymore. The other one is fine. What setting is wrong? Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Red vs Blue Wi-Fi Icon on SB Radio
mrw wrote: > Red: no network connection. > Blue: network connected, but no connection to LMS. With the Blue icon, I attempted to connect to LMS (running on PiCorePlayer) by selecting My Music. It would not connect. LMS on the Pi was running because an unaffected SB Radio was connected to LMS. I had to turn off and turn on, and then it started working again. [SlimDevices: Radio] Red vs Blue Wi-Fi Icon on SB Radio
I have a SB Radio running the current community firmware (8.0.1-r16881) and running Wlanpoke to help with the Wifi6 interference problem. Sometimes I get the red Wi-Fi icon, but other times I see a blue Wi-Fi icon. Either way, the Radio will not play music unless I power down and up again. Why red vs blue, and what might be different? Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Replacing (not repairing) farty speaker - what do I need to know?
I think you are the first person to report failed speaker in a Squeezebox Radio, certainly the first I have seen, although I've been expecting such failures to start occurring as I mentioned in post #39 of this thread: https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?107832-Is-Boom-speaker-deterioration-inevitable Which would be a good read for starters on replacement speaker options, most of which are in that thread or have links to other threads with details of replacements. As for disassembly, you'll find some instructions on a web search (Logitech Squeezebox Radio disassembly) which will take you part of the way, but to get to the speaker unit after the front grill and electronics board are removed, I'd guess you'll have a series of screws holding the panel that the speaker(s) are mounted on to the outer shell, I suspect there will also be a rubber seal that will make that panel seem stuck, so a bit of gentle force may be required to part them once you've made sure all retaining screws are removed. Then it will just be a case mounting your chosen new speaker/driver making any adaptions necessary for a good fit. Good luck and don't forget to report back your experience.
