Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Manual SB Radio firmware update - how?

2012-07-04 Thread Bobbie Howard
Hi, everyone. I have to confess to being totally confused by the technical
talk on this forum. 'Sorry.

I bought a SB last year and was so disgusted about getting it set up I
didn't use it for months. But now I have it set up to play Internet things
like sports talk, Old-Time Radio, and news. I go to the "Favorites" file on
the SB and it shows me a list of stations I've saved and I select one. Most
of the time it works okay. Sometimes the stream won't play that day but
will on another day. I don't understand why this happens, but I am familiar
with the C.Crane WiFi radio and know that sometimes the radio needs to be
reset by just unplugging it.

I have never been notified that I need to do an update and wouldn't know
how to do that unless it prompted me. I never go to anything on my PC (as
far as the SB is concerned). I have the little icon on my bottom tray on my
PC (Windows7) for the Logitech Media Server but I never open it. Should I?

Any simple basic information would be much appreciated. I am not anxious to
call Logitech Customer Service as they sure didn't help me when I first
bought the SB. Thanks so much.

B. Howard

Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Where have my Favorites gone???

2012-03-09 Thread Bobbie Howard
Boy, I'm sorry to be so dumb. I don't know anything about any server. I
just turn the SB radio on and My Favorites aren't there. But does LMS mean
the little turquoise "note" icon in my Startup tray for Logitech Media
Server? I have never done anything to it. Was I supposed to change some
settings on it?
The first time I turned my SB on this morning, it just wouldn't work for
anything, but after awhile "My Squeezebox.com" came up for the 1st time and
I found my Favorites under it. I guess it's like my C.Crane radios ... I
just have to play around with it and try different things. You all have
been wonderful. I will call Logitech Tech Support this afternoon or Monday
to try to get myself more educated. Thanks again.

Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Newbie; a few questions to start

2012-03-08 Thread Bobbie Howard
Thanks so much! I followed your instructions and found what I'd saved on
TuneIn! Wonderful.
Also thanks for the info on Favorites on the SB. I think I will be fine
without worrying about making folders. I don't have that many. Thanks again.
