Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Radio replace knobs
I just cleaned the sticky plastic with some spirit. Now the stickiness is gone. Very easy. [SlimDevices: Radio] Radio replace knobs
Did anyone ever try to build me knobs for the radio? My radio's knobs plastic is really getting sticky... I think I would like to build them in aluminum. I thought there are more perhaps more people interested here in the forum... Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Squeezebox Radio with Amazon Dot
Using the dot with a radio is a great idea. I'm using my radio already to play announcements of my smarthome devices but to use it with alexa i need a way to switch the input to line-in via CLI or smiliar. All i found about this doesn't look very nice, but these post are very old, too... Did u find a way to switch to line-in via cli? mrMuppet's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=34722 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106579 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Squeezebox Radio Nightmare
I have had the problems with my sbr: worked for some minutes, then connection lost, perhaps a reconnect after a couple of minutes... sometimes no reconnect for hours. 100% Signal... But then i changed my WLAN settings in the router/accessPoint to 802.11n+g, channel 9 (no longer automatic channel) and since then i havent had a connection loss any more! -- mrMuppet mrMuppet's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=34722 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=87548 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Want to make an applet or screen saver ?
i'm still looking for a plugin that starts the flickr fotoshow matching the current played artist. Like the flickr function in the context-menu. Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] cli commands on Radio
erland;504047 Wrote: I suspect all the menu and context menu navigation isn't supported through the CLI interface. You can talk to SBS and get back the contents of the context menu but I don't think you can actually get it to popup on the screen without also writing a third party applet in lua which is installed on the Radio/Touch/Controller. It should be possible to do with a third party applet but I'm not sure how much of the context menu logic you would have to re-implement as I'm not sure it's accessible from outside the standard browsing applet. Could you try to explain why you want to access the context menu and menu navigation ? Do you really want to open the context menu or do you just want to execute one of commands which are found inside it ? Both... i would like to to make a one-button Last-fm:i-love-command, because playerid lfm rate L (love) didn't work for me. The other thing i would like to do is to start the flickr-bandphoto-show with one button only. But without the popup it will be hard to do. The best would be the flickr-screensaver but it shows only other photo-collections not the band-pics. -- mrMuppet mrMuppet's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=34722 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=69908 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

[SlimDevices: Radio] found an interesting bug
i'm using SB Radio with a QNAP TS219 (SSOTS 4.2 with SBS Ver: 7.4.2-29707 (nighltly)) i'm trying to control my radio via CLI (telnet). But when i try to use the ir command nothing happens. BUT: when i press the menu-button via the command: playerid button menu (i get an error message in the log: [10-01-08 01:05:25.9442] Slim::Utils::Misc::msg (1165) Warning: [01:05:25.9417] Use of uninitialized value $buttonarg in pattern match (m//) at /share/MD0_DATA/.qpkg/SSOTS/var/home/SqueezeboxServer/Slim/Buttons/Common.pm line 437.) But from that moment on i can send out one (!) working ir-command! than i have to use button menu again and can use one ir-command again. Can anyone reproduce that? (irenable is 1 all the time) by the way: i get error messages when using the following commands: - playerid button menu_pop (big warning) - playerid button playdispl (some error with kidsplay) - playerid button visual (some error with kidsplay) - playerid button search -- mrMuppet mrMuppet's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=34722 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=73691 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Using the SB Radio as a replacement for the SB Receiver
iPhone;495859 Wrote: Hello and Welcome to the Forum. This isn't exactly answering your question, but if you need a line level out, I say get a line level out by using a Receiver, Classic, or wait for the Touch. And if using a line out or line in, I say go with the Boom. It is a better stand alone unit and more versatile in my opinion then the SB Radio. I'm just entering the Squeezebox-world. At first i would like to have a mobile unit and the radio is a little bit cheaper. I think i will get more units later! For the beginning (and testing) the headphone-out will work.
