Just tried this for myself and oddly, the same thing is happening. However, the first time I tried it, the favorite went straight in without problem. Now it just won't do it. I think a lot of stations may be switching over to HTTPS because of the incompatibility with Chrome if they try and embed in a website already with SSL. I'm not too sure what's up there, but in the meantime, you could use the BBC radio streams available in the RadioFeeds UK & Ireland app (available from the App Gallery).
