Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Alarm Off and Snooze are same thing!

1. Alarm turns on - no option for snooze
2. One minute later alarm turns itself off
3. a few seconds later - default music starts
4. Now can hit snooze - do so
5. Less than 10 minutes - radio starts up but no option for snooze!

I ended up switching to Squeezebox Server and everything has worked
fine, so the problem is in Mysqueezebox.com.

Mickey...do you think this is the same bug as the snooze bug that wsa
logged into Bugzilla? Have you been able to reproduce my issue above
when using Alarm Off?

Thanks.

Saw that thread. Definitely seems similar. My problem is that I am not
selecting Snooze, as the user in that thread is describing. I'm simply
trying to turn the alarm off when it goes off.

Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Alarm Off and Snooze are same thing!

2010-08-13 Thread jamex

same thing here. only started recently too. When my alarm goes off,
if I snooze it comes back on one minute later. If I DONT snooze it
and let the music keep playing, in one minute it will turn off, and
fade back in just as if I had snoozed it. If i turn it off, i THINK
it comes back on in a minute but can't remember now.

The only thing I can think that I changed before this happened is I set
a second alarm for the first time to wake me up for an earlier time one
morning. I've since deleted the second alarm and am back to a single
alarm only and that seemed to coincide with when this started
happening. I'm not saying its related, but its the only thing I can
think of that changed since I was on 7.5.1 for weeks\months and never
had this particular issue.

On another note I pulled the plug on the radio this morning to try and
get this behaviour to stop (I have already rebooted it before trying to
cure this issue to no avail), and an update came down 7.5.1 r9001 (i
think?). Will report back if I still have this issue with the alarm.

Sounds exactly like what I'm experiencing. I have the newest revision
of the firmware you are mentioning above, so I don't think that will
fix it.

Just wondering, your signature does not list a SB Radio, yet you're
confirming SB Radio problems. Is this a common practice here? As a
fairly new SB radio user, it makes it difficult to sort out SB Radio vs
non-SB Radio problems.

I had the same (or similar) problem this morning. An alarm set for 6:45
went off at 6:44 with the (godawful) backup alarm. Turning this off
allowed the 'real' alarm to go off on schedule.

Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Alarm Off and Snooze are same thing!

2010-08-13 Thread zmcmahan

Thanks for all the responses. Sounds like I'm not the only one.

Here's a bit more info: Because I have the alarm set M-F, I have
noticed that when this occurs, I hit Alarm Off, and the little bell
does not go away. If the alarm were truly off, the bell would go away
because it's Friday and the alarm is not scheduled to go off Saturday.
When it comes back on a minute later and I hit Alarm Off, the bell then
goes away, and the alarm does not come on until the next day.

It should also be noted that there have been times when I hit Alarm Off
the first time, and it does not come back on.

Sounds like a Bug to me. Hopefully one that is easily fixable in the
near future, cuz I love everything else about the SB
Radio...unfortunately I also need it as an alarm clock.

[SlimDevices: Radio] Alarm Off and Snooze are same thing!

2010-08-12 Thread zmcmahan

Hi all. Just hooked up my new SB Radio and it downloaded the latest
revision of the firmware. I am able to set the alarm for M-F at 6:00
a.m., have it turn on to Pandora, and everything. The one problem I am
having, is that regardless of whether I click Snooze or Turn Alarm
Off, the alarm always comes back on in 1 minute. This is with snooze
time set to 1 minute. If I set snooze time to 4 minutes, then the alarm
still comes back on in 1 minute, regardless of whether I click Snooze or
Turn Alarm Off. The only way I have gotten around this, is to select One
Time Alarm vs. Repeat Alarm, however then I have to Enable it every
night.

I am using mysqueezebox, not squeezebox server. Thanks in advance!
