Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Buttons stopped working during alarm

Hi,

modelcitizen.42l3fb1259785...@no-mx.forums.slimdevices.com:

Unfortunately you are just going to have to put up with it for now.
Until the Touch is released Logitech do not appear to be devoting any
resources to fixing bugs in their existing Squeeze products.

If that is the case, I would suggest to move the firmware release of
the radio in the 7.5.0 branch back to the same revision as the 7.4.1
release and do not update it until such bugs are solved.
That version (r7915) works better on the radio compared to the current
revision in the 7.5.0 branch, and pressing one time to many on the
navigation wheel when the alarm goes off results in updating to the
buggy r8172 version which cannot be stopped... Quite annoying...

Lets hope the Touch is released before Christmas hey?
Even if they should dare to release the Touch with software in
pre-alpha state before Xmas, this wouldn't improve the situation for
Radio users as the work on the Touch software will most probably take
another 2-3 months until people really want to keep it.
Dunno if I my patience lasts long enough to wait that long to get the
most basic Radio issues fixed.

I have always the same problem. Also SqueezeServer 7.4.2 beta and the
firmware of the 7.5 beta.

Greetings epogo

Think the third party Squeeze plugins and applets are important?
Then 'vote for bug 14194'
(http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=14194) so more can be
made.

[SlimDevices: Radio] Buttons stopped working during alarm

2009-11-30 Thread Remy Bohmer
Hi,

Yesterday I installed a new firmware on the baby (IIRC r8215), and
this morning the alarm started to behave weirder then ever before.
The alarm goes off, but I cannot shut it down, none of the buttons
worked, except the power-off-button...

Is that beta? By SB Radio shows r7915 as the latest d/l available.
