Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Constant rebuffering and failure on radio streams - is it just me?
I was having the same issue. Changed my DNS to Google's servers and the rebuffering went away. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk LMS (7.8.0-1384939766) on Netgear Ready NAS Duo (4.1.13) upgraded to 1GB RAM Netgear R6300 (V1.0.2.70_1.0.50) Four Radios (7.7.2-r9663) Duet (77) HTC Evo 4G LTE (Android 4.1.1) running Squeeze Commander (0.9.6.4) & Squeeze Player (1.3.7) iPhone 5S (iOS 7.0.4) running iPeng 7 (7.0) iPad2 (iOS 7.0.4) running iPeng 7 (7.0) & iPeng Party Squeeze Play (7.7.1-r0) on two W7 SP1 machines And amazingly, it all works...for now...except playlists...as of 12/15/2013. wilbur48's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=45354 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104892 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

I usually restarts the device when there are buffering problems, it usually helps for a while. About Spotify, the third party app started to work when I re-submitted the username and password. The official Spotify-app only seems to work when connected to mysqueezebox.com. I guess it's because Logitech wants you to switch to UE Smart Radio. Since I almost never any more listen to music files stored on the NAS maybe it's better to make the switch? /Sverker svebru's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16311 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104892 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Constant rebuffering and failure on radio streams - is it just me?
Although your ISP (which one?) says there are no issues you might try changing your DNS server settings in the router to Google's public servers 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. Which Router is it ? ISP provided ones are notoriously cheap and (not so) cheerful. *Vortexbox LMS 7.8 music on QNAP TS419p via NFS* iThingys/iPeng/Tablets *Living Room* - SB3 -> Onkyo TS606 - > Celestion Ditton F20s - Zone 2 -> Sony TA FE 320 -> Sennheiser RS 130 & B&W P7 *Office* - RPi -> Sony TA FE320 -> Celestion F10s / SB3 -> Onkyo CRN 755 -> Wharfedale Modus Cubes *Dining Room* -> SB Boom *Kitchen* -> UE Radio (upgraded to SB Radio) *Bedroom (Bedside)* - SB Touch -> Topping TP21 -> AKG Headphones *Bedroom (TV)* - Amazon Fire TV (SB Player) -> Topping TP20 -> Wharfedale Modus Cubes d6jg's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=44051 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104892 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

Streams are still streams. As others have stated, your problems are probably network-related. "To try to judge the real from the false will always be hard. svebru wrote: > What should I do? It feels like the Squeezebox Radio I've got is > beginning to be outdated... As suggested, likely networking issue on your end. My Radio works fine on both LMS and MySB.com with the exception of the few stations that have changed their streaming format. Tried rebooting your router? Stations that are not working are from your Favorites or Presets? Might need to update those URL's. Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Constant rebuffering and failure on radio streams - is it just me?
Lately I've got more and more problems with the Squeezebox Radio. I also have issues with constant rebuffering and failure on radio stations. Also I no longer can get sounds from the Spotify apps (I've got two - the official app v. 1.0 and third party app v. 2.3.9). I use them through Logitech Media Server Version: 7.7.3, that I run on a Synology Diskstation (NAS). I've tried to switch to Mysqueezebox.com, but I have the same problem there. What should I do? It feels like the Squeezebox Radio I've got is beginning to be outdated... Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Constant rebuffering and failure on radio streams - is it just me?
Can you connect the Radio to the Router with Ethernet? Also try this: press the radio power off button until it says goodbye. Wait a minute or two and then press it on again and complete the required steps. Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Constant rebuffering and failure on radio streams - is it just me?
Try connecting the Radio to MySB.com directly (no LMS). Same issue occur? Might be your NAS and it's internet/networking connection. NAS wired? toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104892 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
[SlimDevices: Radio] Constant rebuffering and failure on radio streams - is it just me?
Hello, I own a squeezebox radio and i'm having dreadful trouble with it. I think it's my broadband, but I wanted to check if others were having rebuffering issues recently? On all radio streams I'm getting re-buffering every 2-5 minutes. It makes it completely un-listenable. My set up: Squeezebox radio - connected wirelessly. I've got LMS running via my Synology DS210J NAS. I have recently changed my router and my broadband from standard to fibre. I've contacted the supplier a couple of times and it's now out to BT as they can't see anything wrong on my line having run the test several times. I don't believe it's the wifi as I can stream music from my NAS box (stored lossless; i.e., large data size) without any break in the stream The player appears to re-buffer and often fails to rebuffer having sat at a low percentage and then it tried to reconnect from scratch and starts playing again. Like I say, all things point to the broadband, except the results on the line from my ISP's diagnostics saying that everything is perfect. If anybody has any ideas out there for me to try I'd be very grateful. Thanks!
