Yes, it worked right away. down here in the boonies.Yeah !!! But how did you find the URL Did you use a special program or one of the players like winamp , etc??? My laptop went south so lots of my info went with it. There are numerous ways to attempt to hunt down a rogue URL - email the station and ask for a direct stream URL (not embedded player on their site) - see if their web site has URL's for media players (WMP, iTunes, WinAmp) - use a URL sniffer if all they have is an embedded player (finds the actual direct stream URL, sometimes) Or just search for the station info from a number of online music streaming services, click on their play link, media player launches, plays that stream, double click stream name for URL info, cut paste as needed. www.ShoutCast.com (or WinAmp, same thing) www.RadioTime.com (kinda redundant as this is what SqueezeBox uses) www.Reciva.com http://vtuner.com/setupapp/guide/asp/BrowseStations/Searchform.asp http://dir.xiph.org/index.php And sometimes, after all that, you still cannot find a SB playable URL or no URL exists other than their embedded player. Even SBS server can help. Cant get my squeezebox .com to play this station That is the only reason I bought this great radio so I can play radio talk stations that interest me WITHOUT a computer on.. I first used the older Linksys, which is still okay but.. I read your stuff about mmm etc but can not understand... also is there a way to hear books or stories on our SB.com ?I know about downloading public domain stuff and listening that way via mp3 player. Yes I know about OLD TIME Radio.too.
