Any insights as to why I am having issues with OS 10.9 and not 10.15? I
understand both are supported by LMS 8.2.0. Thank you!

Your Mac's SSL libraries are outdated. See the following link for
instructions how to update them:

[SlimDevices: Radio] LMS 8.2.0 and Mavericks (Mac OS 10.9.5)

2021-08-16 Thread daver

Hello everyone. I recently obtained my first Squeezebox Radio (better
late than never!) and have been setting it up to work with my music
library with an iMac running the LMS.

The iMac is running Mac OS 10.9.5, and LMS 8.2.0 installs and runs
(mostly) without issue. As my radio came to me with the 7.7.3 firmware,
I wanted to update it to the latest community firmware. This is where I
ran into a couple of problems.

First, in the "Account" page of the LMS pref pane in the Mac OS 10.9.5
system preferences I am unable to successfully verify my password: I
receive an immediate timeout error every time. This also occurs when
trying to enter my deets in the "mysqueezebox.com" page when viewing LMS
advanced settings in my browser. Logging on to my account via the
mysqueezebox.com webpage works just fine, however.

Second, when viewing the LMS "plugins" page in my browser, neither the
community firmware plugin nor any of the 3rd party plugins are
displayed, the page reporting a timeout error.

Switching to my work laptop running Mac OS 10.15.7 and all these
problems go away: I was able to log in, access all plugins, and update
the radio's firmware by installing LMS 8.2.0 on this machine.
Unfortunately, for logistical reasons I cannot use this laptop as my
media server.

Any insights as to why I am having issues with OS 10.9 and not 10.15? I
understand both are supported by LMS 8.2.0. Thank you!
