I don't plan to do this myself since my current plan is to replace
TrackStat with something better, but patches are always welcome if
there are some developer interested in helping to implement it.

It's possible if you know SQL with the SQL PLaylist plugin but if you
don't know SQL I don't think there is any easy way to accomplish this
at the moment.

i browsed in Dynamic Playlist to /Genres then chose the target genre
(Jazz:Vocal) to view. i then chose to view "songs never played" and
hit play. the only other option is +, nothing else.

ideally, i'd like to save "never played" or "rarely played" DPs for a a
few specific genres. any way to do that? ideally, it'd be based on
playcount, for instance, a DP that meets the following rule set:

Genre is/contains "Rock"
playcount is >2

etc...

Don't you have a hearth icon in the web interface on the right side of
the playlist name ?
Is it a playlist that takes a parameter when you hit play ? In that
case it doesn't work as a favorite.

how do you save a Dynamic Playlist as a favorite? if i set up a DP as
all Jazz Vocal songs that have never been played, i can play it, or add
this PL to the queue. there's no other option (that i see)

running SC 7.5.1 and the latest version of DP.

Hi Erland

That worked great, thanks! I've not got my 'top rated tracks' dynamic
playlist as preset 1

I hadn't realized it didn't work, I have presets but I had them set
them up before Logitech decided to split presets and favorites. I guess
I'll have to look at what's needed to make it work again.

However, for me it worked to:
1. Setup a Dynamic Playlist as a Favorite through the web interface
2. On the Radio, navigate to the Favorites menu and navigate to the
favorite you just created and hold down one of the preset buttons for a
while.

I'm not sure if this still works if you remove the favorite but it's
probably good enough until I've got around to fix it so you can do it
directly from the Dynamic Playlists menu.

If you can play a dynamic playlist with a CLI command, KidsPlay might
enable this...

dynamic playlist as a preset on my radio and can't seem to do it

Thanks

[SlimDevices: Radio] Presets and Dynamic playlist

2010-04-24 Thread Pilgrim

While I was very pleased with Erland's dynamic playlist plugin, there is
one aspect that I am wondering about. I can't seem to get my Squeezebox
Radio preset buttons to take any dynamic playlist. The buttons will
take a classic playlist just fine. I am running SB server 7.5.0, and
the dynamic playlist version is 2.8.2. Is this functionality not
available or am I doing something wrong? Thanks for any help.
